Navigation (Back, Home, Recent) 6. Application menu (also known as "Apps") Getting started Using your tablet 1. Connect the power adapter Charge your tablet for at least four hours. Note: It is normal for the device surface to become warm during charging or long periods of use. 2. Press the power button Hold until you see the Acer logo. Connecting to the Internet via Wi-Fi To connect to a Wi-Fi network, tap the Application menu , then tap Settings . Under Wireless & networks, ensure Wi-Fi is ON. Tap Wi-Fi and then tap a wireless network; if necessary enter a security password to access the network. How to register To register your Acer product, visit our website at registration.acer.com. After we receive your product registration, you will be sent a confirmation email with important data that you should keep in a safe place. Your tablet's User's Manual To download the User's Manual, go to www.acer.com and click Support > DRIVERS AND MANUALS. Select the appropriate items from Group > Series > Products. In the Documents tab, click Download next to the User’s Manual. Connecting a Bluetooth device To connect to a bluetooth device, tap the Application menu , then tap Settings . Under Wireless & networks, ensure Bluetooth is ON. Tap Bluetooth and then SEARCH FOR DEVICES to scan for available devices. Then tap an available device to select a device. Note: A2DP stereo headsets are supported for playback only. Please check for updates to the tablet's software that may add support for additional Bluetooth devices. Restoring to factory settings Tap the Application menu , then tap Settings . Tap Backup & reset > Factory data reset; tap Reset tablet and then Erase everything to format your tablet. Updating your tablet’s operating system To check for updates, tap the Application menu , then tap Settings . Then tap About tablet > System updates > Check now. Acer Touch WakeApp Touch WakeApp is a convenient application that allows you to easily wake up your tablet from sleep mode and launch a defined app, using simple gestures. Enable Touch WakeApp Gestures 1. Pull down the notification area from the right corner. 2. Tap the Touch WakeApp icon to bring up Gesture Configure. 3. Slide ON to enable your desired item. 4. Tap and hold the item you have enabled to open a list of apps that can be automatically launched after the tablet is woken up. Note: Only portrait mode is supported when using the 2-thumb gesture. Hold the tablet with both thumbs near the edge of the screen to wake your tablet. 5. Select your app and tap OK. Alternatively, you may also tap Apps > Settings > Acer Touch WakeApp. Note: If there are multiple user accounts on your tablet, the Application Shortcuts function will only be available on the Administrator account. All other users will only be able to wake up the system to the Home screen. Keep this document for future reference. Follow all warnings and instructions marked on the product. Turning the product off before cleaning Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. WARNINGS Accessing the power plug Be sure that the power outlet you plug the power cord into is easily accessible and located as close to the equipment operator as possible. When you need to disconnect power to the equipment, be sure to unplug the power plug from the electrical outlet. Mark sure the power plug is fixed at right position with the adaptor before plugging to the socket on the wall. Input rating: Refer to the rating label on the bottom of the computer and ensure that your power adapter complies with the specified rating. Under no circumstances should the user attempt to disassemble the power supply. The power supply has no user-replaceable parts. Inside the power supply are hazardous voltages that can cause serious personal injury. A defective power supply must be returned to your dealer. Using electrical power - If an extension cord is used with this product, make sure that the total ampere rating of the equipment plugged into the extension cord does not exceed the extension cord ampere rating. Also, make sure that the total rating of all products plugged into the wall outlet does not exceed the fuse rating. - Do not overload a power outlet, strip or receptacle by plugging in too many devices. The overall system load must not exceed 80% of the branch circuit rating. If power strips are used, the load should not exceed 80% of the power strip's input rating. General - Do not use this product near water. - Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand or table. If the product falls, it could be seriously damaged. - Slots and openings are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating. These openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug or other similar surface. This product should never be placed near or over a radiator or heat register, or in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provided. - Never push objects of any kind into this product through cabinet slots as they may touch dangerous voltage points or shortout parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. If the signal to noise radio is too poor which could not support 72.2Mbps, the 11Mbps data rate with DSSS technique will be applied. The transmitter of the EUT is powered by 3.8Vdc from battery, 5Vdc from host equipment or 5.35Vdc, 5.2Vdc form adapter. The antenna is PIFA antenna with IPEX antenna connectors.
