Note: It is normal for the device surface to become warm during charging or long periods of use. 2. Press the power button Hold until you see the Acer logo. Connecting to the Internet via Wi-Fi To connect to a Wi-Fi network, tap the Application menu , then tap Settings . Under Wireless & networks, tap Wi-Fi and ensure it is set to On. Tap a wireless network; if necessary enter a security password to access the network. How to register To register your Acer product, visit our website at registration.acer.com. After we receive your product registration, you will be sent a confirmation email with important data that you should keep in a safe place. Your tablet's User's Manual To download the User's Manual, go to www.acer.com and click Support > DRIVERS AND MANUALS. Select the appropriate items from Group > Series > Products. In the Documents tab, click Download next to the User’s Manual. Connecting a Bluetooth device To connect to a bluetooth device, tap the Application menu , then tap Settings . Under Wireless & networks, tap Bluetooth and ensure it is set to On. Your device automatically scans for available Bluetooth devices; tap an available device to connect. Note: A2DP stereo headsets are supported for playback only. Please check for updates to the tablet's software that may add support for additional Bluetooth devices. Restoring to factory settings Tap the Application menu , then tap Settings . Tap Backup & reset > Factory data reset; tap RESET TABLET and then ERASE EVERYTHING to format your tablet. Updating your tablet’s operating system To check for updates, tap the Application menu , then tap Settings . Tap About tablet > System updates > CHECK NOW. Acer Iconia Suite Acer has created a suite of tools that make your mobile digital experience easier and more fun. From the Home screen, tap the Iconia Suite icon to display apps: EZ Note, EZ Snap, EZ WakeUp, and EZ Gadget. Tap an app to open it. EZ Note Quickly create notes and use bookmarks and "journals" to organize them. Notes can contain handwriting, text from the onscreen keyboard, or imported images. Also, record audio or take pictures on-the-fly. EZ Snap Simply pinch the screen with three fingers to capture a screenshot. Then, quickly share the image in a variety of ways. EZ WakeUp Use simple gestures to easily wake up your tablet from sleep mode and launch a pre-defined app of your choice. EZ Gadget A floating window with multiple tools that stay in their own movable and resizeable window on top of all other apps. Turning the product off before cleaning Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. WARNINGS Accessing the power plug Be sure that the power outlet you plug the power cord into is easily accessible and located as close to the equipment operator as possible. When you need to disconnect power to the equipment, be sure to unplug the power plug from the electrical outlet. Mark sure the power plug is fixed at right position with the adaptor before plugging to the socket on the wall. Input rating: Refer to the rating label on the bottom of the computer and ensure that your power adapter complies with the specified rating. Under no circumstances should the user attempt to disassemble the power supply. The power supply has no user-replaceable parts. Inside the power supply are hazardous voltages that can cause serious personal injury. A defective power supply must be returned to your dealer. Using electrical power - If an extension cord is used with this product, make sure that the total ampere rating of the equipment plugged into the extension cord does not exceed the extension cord ampere rating. Also, make sure that the total rating of all products plugged into the wall outlet does not exceed the fuse rating. - Do not overload a power outlet, strip or receptacle by plugging in too many devices. The overall system load must not exceed 80% of the branch circuit rating. If power strips are used, the load should not exceed 80% of the power strip's input rating. General - Do not use this product near water. - Do not place this product on an unstable cart, stand or table. If the product falls, it could be seriously damaged. - Slots and openings are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation of the product and to protect it from overheating. These openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug or other similar surface. This product should never be placed near or over a radiator or heat register, or in a built-in installation unless proper ventilation is provided. - Never push objects of any kind into this product through cabinet slots as they may touch dangerous voltage points or shortout parts that could result in a fire or electric shock.
