Date: April 15, 2021 RE: IN9-ICS-01-RFID To Whom It May Concern: This letter is to attest that the Sealed Air 1164AAG NFC card reader, FCC ID: IN9-ICS-01-RFID is a Limited Single-Module transmitter that complies with FCC Part 15.212(a)(1). When installed in Sealed Air inflatable packaging host equipment the following requirements are met: MODULAR APPROVAL REQUIREMENT STATEMTNE OF COMPLIANCE (a) The radio elements must have the radio frequency circuitry shielded. Physical components and tuning capacitor(s) may be located external to the shield, but must be on the module assembly The radio element of the transmitter contained within a ST25R3911B RFID IC. Shielding is provided on the PCB by a top layer ground plane which is guarded using via stitching to a low-ohmic mid-layer DC path. (b) The module must have buffered modulation/data inputs to ensure that the device will comply with Part 15 requirements with any type of input signal Buffered modulation inputs are provided on the ST25R3911B RFID IC. Data is sent to the RFID IC via a clocked SPI bus, preventing data overrun from impacting the transmitter. (c) The module must contain power supply regulation on the module Regulated power is supplied to the 1164AAG module from the Sealed Air main control PCB. In addition, the ST25R3911B IC contains internal local voltage regulators for the data interface, analog circuitry, RF transmitter and receiver. (d) The module must contain a permanently attached antenna, or contain a unique antenna connector, and be marketed and operated only with specific antenna(s), per Sections 15.203, 15.204(b), 15.204(c), 15.212(a), 2.929(b) The module contains a fixed antenna etched directly onto the PC board. No provision is provided for attachment of an external antenna. (e) The module must demonstrate compliance in a stand-alone configuration The module was tested in stand-alone configuration and complies with Part 15 emissions limits. (f) The module must be labelled with its permanently affixed FCC ID label, or use an electronic display (See KDB Publication 784748 about labelling requirements) The module includes a label with FCC ID: IN9-ICS-01-RFID. Since the module is used as a component internal to the inflatable packaging equipment and is not visible to the user, the equipment is also labeled with the statement ‘This device contains FCC ID: IN9- ICS-01-RFID’. (g) The module must comply with all specific rules applicable to the transmitter. The grantee must provide comprehensive instructions to explain compliance requirements The module is intended as a component of the inflatable packaging equipment and therefore does not have its own operating manual. Instructions, including specific FCC rules and operating requirements applicable to the module are provided in the operating manual for the machine. A copy of the instructions are included in the application for equipment authorization. (h) The module must comply with RF exposure requirements The module complies with applicable SAR and RF exposure limits of Part 15.
