The radio frequency enabled control transmits signals to compatible Lutron® shades and shading systems. To access advanced features, please refer to the installation and operation instructions for the Lutron device(s) under control. The Serena® 4-Group RF handheld remote control uses 2 AAA alkaline batteries which are pre-installed (see diagram). DO NOT use NiCad or rechargeable batteries. To replace batteries: A. Remove the battery cover. B. Replace with 2 size AAA alkaline batteries as shown. C. Replace the battery cover. Open Close Shade 1 2 3 4 All Open Button Tap once: shade opens to its upper limit Close Button Tap once: shade closes to its lower limit Shade Group Buttons Tap once to select shades assigned to the corresponding group (number) All Shade Groups Button Tap once to select all shades Raise & Lower Buttons Tap to move the shade; tap again to stop it Preset Button Tap once to move the shade to a preset position Press on arrow, slide and lift off battery cover. SymptomProbable Cause and Action Buttons don’t light up when they are pressed. Dead, low, or no battery in wireless control. • Install new battery. Battery is installed incorrectly (reversed polarity). • Install battery as indicated in the Battery Replacement section. A specific window treatment does not respond when a button is pressed. The window treatment is not assigned to the control. Devices are out of range. • Check to make sure all remote controls, keypads, dimmers, switches and shades/ draperies are within 30 ft (9 m) of each other.
