You are about to experience a whole new world of computing convenience with superior input features and navigating accuracy. The Mouse works from up to six feet away without a cord, giving you unencumbered freedom of movement. It provides five customizable buttons, including the convenient scroll wheel, to make repetitive tasks simpler than ever. Please review this User Manual thoroughly to ensure your safe, long-term use of the Mouse, and for help in getting the most from its advanced features. 1 ___ 2 ___ 3 ___ 4 ___ 5 Introduction 2 System Requirements • Windows ® 98 SE, Me, 2000, or XP • CD-ROM drive • 5MB of available disk space • USB or PS/2 port Packaging Includes • Rechargeable Wireless Optical Mouse • Charging Cradle • Software CD • User Manual • 2 NiMH Batteries • PS/2 Adapter Overview Before starting the installation of the hardware and software for the Mouse, please remove any drivers or software from any mice that were previously installed on your computer. This is to avoid any conflicts they may create, which could result in an improper installation of your Mouse. Please consult the documents that came with your previous mouse for proper instructions on how to uninstall the software and drivers. 1 ___ 2 ___ 3 ___ 4 ___ 5 Hardware Installation 3 Important: Before connecting your Mouse or installing software, be sure to identify the type of mouse port you are using (USB or PS/2). Refer to the diagrams below if you have difficulty determining which kind of port your Mouse uses. Important: Do not install the software until the Mouse is connected to your computer. If you have not yet connected the Mouse, please follow the Hardware Installation instructions. Note: Your Mouse is functional without installing the software provided. However, we recommend software installation because the software allows you to program the Mouse buttons for various functions, adding personalized efficiency and enjoyment to your computing experience. PS/2 PortUSB Port 1 ___ 2 ___ 3 ___ 4 ___ 5 Hardware Installation 4 Connecting the USB Mouse USB in Windows 98 SE, Me, 2000, and XP 1. Make sure your computer is turned on before installing the Mouse. 2. Connect the receiver to an available USB port on your computer. 3. A New Hardware Wizard will start automatically. Note: Windows 98 SE may require you to insert your Windows 98 SE Installation CD into your computer’s CD-ROM drive to complete the install. 4. When your Installation is complete, insert the batteries into the Mouse and the Mouse should sync up with the receiver automatically. Note: If the Mouse does not sync up with the receiver automatically, please see instructions titled “Synchronizing your Mouse to your Receiver”. 5. When your Mouse is properly connected and functioning as a standard mouse, you can start the software installation for the extra button features. 1 ___ 2 ___ 3 ___ 4 ___ 5 Hardware Installation 5 Connecting the PS/2 Mouse PS/2 in Windows 98 SE, Me, 2000, and XP 1. Turn off your computer. 2. Connect the USB-to-PS/2 connector to the mouse cable on the receiver. 3. Insert the cable with the connector to the PS/2 (6-pin) mouse port on your computer. 4. Place the batteries into the Mouse. 5. Turn the computer on. 6. When the computer finishes starting up, it will automatically detect the Mouse and make it function. Note: If the Mouse does not work, please see instructions under “Synchronizing your Mouse to your Receiver”. 7. When your Mouse is properly connected, you can start the software installation. 1 ___ 2 ___ 3 ___ 4 ___ 5 Hardware Installation 6 Synchronizing your Mouse to your Receiver If the Mouse does not automatically sync with the receiver, press the connect button on the front of the receiver. The light on the receiver will blink rapidly. Then sync the Mouse to the receiver by pushing the sync button on the bottom of the Mouse. So, The final test is made at the operating mode. During the measurement, the following mode were tested: #1 Stand-alone Transmitting #2 Charging by Adaptor. The conduction pretest was found out “#2 Charging by Adaptor” was the worst case. The radiation pretest was found out “#1 Stand-alone transmitting” was the worst case. We only recorded this data in this report. While testing, the EUT was made to transmit continuously and adjusted at a position, which transmitted the maximum emission. The test placement as the photographs showed is the worst case emission placed. (If the emission is close to the ambient, the resolution BW and view resolution will be reduced and the data will be recorded by detection of maximum hold peak mode.) The testing configuration of test setup is showing in the next page. There is no deviation from standard test method.
