SubstantiationofK7SF8V3080A Here is our feedback to your question from our factory . Question:"Can you please answer the following question on October 25?This device appears different fromthe devicesubmitted for FCCtesting. One difference is that there is a ferrite core on the cable. What did the applicant state?" Reply:The firstsample thatwesubmitted theapplied ID number isK7SF8V3080A. It hasa ferrite core on the cableand applyFCC testing . the testing resultis OK . Afterwardwe foundthe ferritethatcould be cancelledandstill be able topassed by adjusting some components value to sure thetransmitter compliedwith the FCC standards.Sowe cancelledth e ferrite core on the cable andadjustedsome components value of RF sectionto passbyFCC testing . Thereforewe submitted the secondsample of K7SF8V3080Awithout the ferritetothe test lab for retest again and it passed the FCC requirement. Therefore, the test lab uses the revised report for FCC submission. Thanks Arthury Chau Director of Product Development Date : 2006-11-22

American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 October 25, 2006 RE: Belkin Corporation FCC ID: K7SF8V3038A I have a few comments on this Application. Depending on your responses, kindly understand there may be additional comments. 1.) FCC has had a lot of complaints about personal FM broadcast transmitters over the last year. Consequently before any TCB can issue approval for these devices they must seek permission from the commission. Please provide the following as a separate document for forwarding to the Commission a. How does this device operate? b. Provide information on the device and its antenna. c. How is it installed? d. What test procedure was used? e. If tested in a car, how was it configured/tested? f. Was the tuning range properly verified? The test lab should indicate in the report that the tuning controls were manually adjusted to verify maximum tuning range. g. Was the bandwidth properly tested with maximum audio input?. William H. This is regarding a personal FM broadcast transmitter to be filed under 15.239. This correspondence was begun prior to thepublication of the formalized Permit but Ask procedure. Attached is a copy of the revised documentation supplied by Applicant for this device ---Reply from Customer on 12/18/2006--- The applicant has submitted the following response. Please see attachment. Response: I think we are probably ok but before I open the GC I just want to make sure we had: 1) resolved the issue of why the grant you are filing had the different cable attachment from the one we tested here at the FCC during the pre grant testing and 2) you provided the answers to the required questions that we are asking all applicants for FM transmitters (15.239) i.e. questions for FM transmitters in the KDB inquiry. 1) How does this device operate? 2) Provide information on the device and its antenna. 3) How is it installed? 4) What test procedure was used? 5) If tested in a car, how was it configured/tested? At the present time, FM transmitters (subject to 15.239) tested in vehicles must also be tested on a test table. Provide both sets of data. All data must be compliant 6) Was the tuning range properly verified? The test lab should indicate in the report that the tuning controls were manually adjusted to verify maximum tuning range. 7) Was the bandwidth properly tested with maximum audio input? Use a typical audio file from a typical device. e.g. Do not use a 1 kHz signal from a signal generator. 8) Provide the test report. If you have provided this info already just give me a copy for the record. Same with (1) above ...it you resolved this with Joe Dichoso already that's fine. Do not reply to this message.
