125 Technology Parkway Norcross, Georgia, US 30092 May 25, 2007 Dear Sir, It is the intent of LXE, Inc. to submit for authorization the BT001 Bluetooth module in under FCC ID: KDZLXEBT001. LXE, Inc. would like to request your authorization of the device as a limited modular approval. The device meets the requirements as a limited modular device as indicated in FCC Public DA 00-1407. The statement is listed below. 1. The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding. The radio portion of this module has been shielded. 2. The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs. The EUT has buffered data inputs; it is integrated in chip 2045. 3. The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation. The module has it own power regulator. . 4. The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirement of section 15.203 and 15.204c. The antenna is a non-standard connector. All antennas are 0dbi omni- directional. 5. The modular transmitter must be tested in a standalone configuration. The EUT was originally tested standalone to meet all radio requirements. 6. The modular transmitter must be labeled with its own FCC ID number, and, if the FCC ID is not visible when the module is installed in another device, then the outside of the device into which the module is installed must also display a label referring to the enclosed module. The label exhibit shows the labeling of the module. 7. The modular transmitter must comply with any specific rule or operating requirements applicable to the transmitter and the manufacturer must provide adequate instructions along with the module to explain any such requirement. The EUT is compliant with all applicable FCC rules. Detail instructions for maintaining compliance are given in the manual. Cyril A. Binnom Jr. Approvals Engineer LXE, Inc.
