Users Manual

1 Marianne Bosley To: [email protected] Subject: Metrak #13186 Enlsion Industries Co. FCC ID: KYDM1A2 Hi Alice, The following is a request for technical information. Please make changes and submit a new, corrected user's manual. 1. According to the User’s Manual, the user may change the frequency crystal in the EUT in order to change channels. Section 2.1043(b)(3) prohibits the user from modifying a certified transmitter and 2.1043(a) prohibits any changes to the basic frequency and stabilizing circuitry. Section 15.15 also prohibits the accessibility of controls that could be used to cause the transmitter to operate outside of the standards. Therefore, the FCC prohibits the user from changing plug in crystals to change frequencies on a transmitter. Please indicate your understanding of this requirement, and aver that such crystals will not be provided. Also, please remove the references to changing the crystal from the user’s manual. Once we have received the new manual, we can grant this device. Regards, Marianne Marianne T. To: [email protected] Cc: Subject: Metrak #13186 Enlsion Industries Co. FCC ID: KYDM1A2 Hello Alice, The engineer reviewed the revised manual and that is ok, however, you did not send the statement that was needed from the applicant. Once you have forwarded the below requirement, it will be granted. Any questions, let me know. RT question: 1 While the reference to changing crystals was taken out of the manual, we also asked for the applicant to confirm his understanding that providing such crystals for sale is not permitted by the FCC. Please provide such a statement. Regards, Page 1 of 1Compose Message 1/15/2003https://www.metlabs.com/exchange/forms/ipm/note/cmpMsg.asp?obj=32459&caller=1

Operational Description

FCC ID: KYDM1A2 Circuit Description The 27.255MHz crystal oscillator drives the base of Q4 the final/buffer amplifier. The modulation provided by U1. The output of Q4 has the matching network consisting of L1 and C8 that limit the harmonic content and effect the proper coupling of the antenna to the output stage. Antenna, Ground and Power Source The antenna consists of a 39cm long metal antenna. There is no external ground connection. The ground is only that of the printed circuit board. Electric current is supplied by a 9 Volt (“6F22” size battery x 1) primary battery
