To: [email protected] Cc: Lyn Yang ITS/EMC-TPE Subject: FCC ID: L7APTA9012 Dear People: My review of the application for FCC ID: L7APTT8012 indicates that there is important information missing, which must be supplied before the device can be certified. The FCC is presently auditing 20% of all TCB certifications, and it is setting aside those which are not correct. We want to avoid such a set aside, which would delay the client's marketing of his product. The following items need to be addressed: 1)The operational description supplied is really an installation instruction. It does not describe how the circuit operates, or how the signals are modulated or produced. Please provide a simple technical document which relates to the block diagram. It should also describe the antenna, which does not appear in the product external photos. The instruction manual describes an RF transmitter and a separate receiver for relaying PC screen images to a remote TV set. However, the setup photos - especially RE-2 - appear to show the transmitter directly connected to both the PC and the TV. How is that possible? 2) The test report does not describe any of the EUT settings or input signals during testing. What signals were used during testing? Did the laptop computer have "scrolling H's" on the screen? Please provide this information in the test report or an addendum. 3) The external photo Outlook2 does not show a permanently attached antenna on the antenna port. According to 15.203, a permanently attached antenna must be provided, unless it has a "unique" connector or the device is professionally installed. Please provide a new photo showing the permanently attached antenna. If the antenna uses a "unique" connector, more information about the connector is needed. 4) The FCC ID: label drawing label.pdf does not show the required label wording under 15.19(a)(3). It only shows the FCC ID. Please provide a new label drawing with all of the required wording. As soon as this information is supplied, the product can be certified.
