[ Operation ] 1 now Playing scrEEn information The Now Playing screen for SIRIUS Internet Radio provides information such as the currently tuned channel, song or show being played, mode, and other information. Figure 24 identifies the information which is displayed when in the Internet Radio mode. 32 Little Richard Lucille Channel Number Buffering Indicator Battery Condition Indicator Battery Charging Indicator Channel Logo Signal Strength Indicator Song/Show Title & Artist Information Internet Buffering Listening Mode (Internet or Internet Premium) or Clock suPPortEd nEtworks The Stiletto supports a wireless Internet connection through any standard 802.11b/g access point. This includes wireless networks which are WEP/WPA protected and require a pass- word, subscription-based wireless networks which require a user name and password, and wireless networks where the network name (SSID) is hidden. To connect to a wireless network which restricts access by MAC address, the MAC address of the Stiletto 2 must be added to the allowed list of MAC addresses in the access point be- fore connecting. You can find the MAC address of your Stiletto 2 by selecting from the Home screen, Settings WiFi Wi-Fi Status. figure 24figure 24 [ Operation ] connEcting to a wirElEss nEtwork Before you can listen to Internet Radio, you have to select an available wireless network, and possibly enter a user name and password for the wireless network. To connect to a wireless network: From the Home screen select Internet Radio. The Stiletto 2 will search for available wireless networks and will either present you with a list of the networks found (Figure 25), or connect automatically to a network to which you had previously connected. If no wireless networks are found, the list will be empty. a. If you want to connect to a typical wireless network found in a home or workplace which is shown in the list, select the network from the list. b. If you are attempting to connect to a wireless network which is hidden (no SSID advertised), select Hidden Network. You will then be prompted to enter the name (SSID) of the hidden network. (Figure 26) Use the Media Dial to scroll the list of characters and highlight each character. Press the Select button to select the highlighted character and move to the next character. If you make a mistake, use the Back button to erase the character. Press the Options button when done. Remember that the network name is case sensitive. c. If you are connecting to a subscription-based wireless network, select the network from the list. You will then be prompted for a user name. (Figure 27) Use the Media Dial to scroll the list of characters and highlight each character. Press the Select button to select the highlighted character and move to the next character. (Figure 29) SIRIUS Internet Radio channels may be browsed by us- ing Rewind and Fast Forward. Use the Media Dial to highlight your choice, and press the Select button to select a channel. It is not possible to pause Internet Radio, however, you can mute the audio by pressing Play/Pause. Presets are grouped into three banks, A, B, and C which store 10 presets each for a total of 30 presets. Presets are available when in the Internet Radio mode or the Satellite Radio mode. If a preset channel is not available when in the Internet Radio mode, it will appear as dimmed in the list of presets. To select, add, or remove presets, refer to the Channel Presets section on page 31. adding songs to thE wish list When listening to Internet Radio, saving songs or recording programs is not possible. You may save the song title and artist information to your wish list by pressing Love.
