This network based control is also compatible with URC sensors, like audio sensor and video sensor, which detects the status of a device and provides automation triggers. Power LED:Indicates that the CP-1 is powered on when lit. Ethernet LED:Indicates the network connectivity status: ● On = Connected ●Off = Not connected ●Blinking = Attempting to connect. Power LEDEthernet LED Page 3 CCGEN2 CP-1 ADVANCEDNETWORKSYSTEMCONTROLLER Rear Panel Descriptions The rear panel ports are: DC 12V Power:Attach the included 12V power supply here. LAN Connection:RJ45 standard Ethernet connection to the local network. Relays (NO, NC, COM): Programmable relay to be normally opened (NO), normally closed (NC) or momentary contact. An application should require less than 30V/.5A. RS-232: Two RS-232 ports support Tx(Transmit), Rx(Receive) and GND(Ground) connections for two-way communication. Compatible with URC cables RS232F and RS232M. Sensors:Two sensor ports allow programming of state dependent and triggered automation macros. Compatible with URC Video (SEN-VID), Voltage (SEN-VID), Audio (SEN-AUD), Current (SEN- CMF), Light (SEN-LITE), and Contact Closure (SEN-CCLS) sensors. IR Outputs:Six standard 3.5mm IR emitter ports with individual output level adjustment screws. Always use the supplied special emitter with pink connector, in port #6. Plugging a regular emitter to this port may cause it to damage the unit and prevent it from operating correctly. RFTX-1 Port:Connect the included 3.5mm stereo to 3.5mm stereo to the optional RFTX-1 transmitter and control URC Lighting products via 418MHz or 433.92MHz wireless RF. Reset:Press and release to reboot, while pressing and holding for 15 seconds factory defaults the unit. DC 12V Power Relay: NO, NC, COM RFTX-1 Reset RS-232 Ports Sensors IR Outputs: #1-6 LAN Installing the CP-1 Physical Installation of the CP-1 and Accessories The CP-1 Central Processor can be installed anywhere in the home or office network. Once installed program it to operate all local equipment using IP/Network, IR, RS-232, or Relays. As well as query the status of a device using Sensors. All cables are plugged into their respective ports in the rear of the unit. Network Installation 1.Connect an Ethernet cable (RJ45)to the rear of the CP-1 and onto the network. 2. Plug flashersinto any of the six flasher ports on the rear of the CP-1. (Make sure the 3.5mm pink connector cable is reserved for port #6.) Page 4 CCGEN2 CP-1 ADVANCEDNETWORKSYSTEMCONTROLLER Page 5 Optimizing IR Flasher Levels Test a few commands for each device before fixing the flasher in place on the front panel of a device. Since Satellite Receivers and Cable Boxes are extremely sensitive to IR overload or saturation, you should test them thoroughly. Put up the cable or satellite on-screen guide and test the navigation arrows. Compare operation via RF to the original remote control. Operation should be identical. If operation is inconsistent or sluggish, lower the IR line output and/or reposition the flasher. If you still have sluggish operation, check that the remote control is set to a particular LINE OUT, rather than ALL. When IR commands are sent to all the flashers in a cabinet, you can have difficulty adjusting the IR Output. Reprogram the remote control to send IR commands only via a specific (1-6) Line Output, then readjust the IR Line Output level. 1. Connect an IR emittert…
