Buoy shell with floatation ring 2. Electronic head unit 3. Four (4) cover bolts and a wrench 4. Battery canister, with 32 D cell batteries (included) 5. Two piece antenna a. Antenna base with specific buoy frequency loading coil b. Antenna tip Set Up Instructions 1. Connect the internal battery- loosen the 4 cover bolts on the electronic head unit, with the supplied wrench, remove the electronic head unit and connect the power cord from the top of the battery canister to the bottom of the electronic head unit. (note: check to ensure that the battery canister has 32 D cell batteries) 2. Reassemble the battery canister and the electronic head unit to the buoy shell and tighten the 4 cover bolts. 3. Confirm that the frequency on the electronic head unit is the same as the frequency on the antenna base. 4. Connect the antenna base to the top of the electronic head unit. 5. Connect the antenna tip to the top of the antenna base. Off Position: The unit is powered off. 2. Test Position: The unit transmits immediately. 3. On Position: The unit transmits every 3 minutes for a period of 15 seconds. Operation 1. Turn the switch on the buoy to the “Test” position, tune your receiver to the buoy frequency and confirm that the buoy is transmitting. 2. Turn the switch on the buoy to the “On” position and deploy the buoy. 3. Tune the receiver to the buoy frequency to get a compass heading to the buoy. 4. After retrieval of the buoy, turn the switch to the “Off” position to stop the buoy from transmitting. FCC WARNING STATEMENTS: THIS DEVICE COMPLIES WITH PART 15 OF THE FCC RULES.
