Troubleshooting Guide Problem Cause Solution Strobe does notstart flashingwhen you dial 911or theprogrammednumber or touchthe STROBE ON/OFF b utto n. 1. There is no power tothe transmitter. 2. Ensure the ACpower source isworking. 2. Ensure that thephone cable isplugged into thetrans mi tter a nd thephone jack per theinstructions. 3. Reprogram thetrans mi tter usingless than 3 secondsbetween the digitsyo u n e nter (if thesecondaryemer ge nc y numberis being used). 4. Move the strobecloser to thetrans mi tter. 5. The 911 Alert lets police and ambulance services find you incase of an emergency when seconds count. You can mountyour 911 guiding strobe on your window, door, and/or mailbox. You can activate the 911 guiding strobe by: 1. Dialing 911 from your phone 2. Programming another emergency number and dialing it 3. Pressing the STROBE ON/OFF button on the transmitter The 911 Alert plugs into your telephone and senses when youdial 911 or any emergency number from any extension.Dialing 911 (or any other emergency number) triggers a radiofrequency (RF) signal that begins flashing the Strobe. You cansee the strobe from up to one mile away at night and up to 1/8mile away during the day.You can also use the 911 Alert as a convenience device(delivery service, guests and so on) by pressing the STROBE ON/OFF non-emergency button on the transmitter. Operational Description

2.1033 (b)(4) Product Description. You can activate the 911 guiding strobe by: 1. Dialing 911 from your phone 2. Programming another emergency number and dialing it 3. Pressing the STROBE ON/OFF button on the transmitter The 911 Alert plugs into your telephone and senses when you dial 911 or any emergency number from any extension. Dialing 911 (or any other emergency number) triggers a radio frequency (RF) signal that begins flashing the Strobe. You can see the strobe from up to one mile away at night and up to 1/8 mile away during the day. Each 911 model has its own user-specified signaling code. This allows your unit to operate totally independently of any other units in the neighborhood. The transmitter sends a series of 8 bits either on or off in 750 milliseconds, the 8 bit code is sent three times in under three seconds once sent the transmitter ceases transmitting. The 8 bit code is recognized by the receiver and turns the strobe on. There is no other transmissions made unless someone dials 911 from there phone. The transmitter can not be used for voice or data transmissions. The transmitter complies with 15.231 (a) and 15.231(a) (3).
