To ensure that you enjoy the full capacities of this product, please read this user’s manual before operating. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS When using your telephone equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons, including the following: 1. Read and follow all instructions carefully. 2. Follow all warning and instructions on the product. 3. Unplug this product from the host telephone equipment before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning. 4. Do not use this product near water. 5. Do not place this product on top of metal surface or an unstable cart, stand, or table. 6. Do not allow anything to rest on the power cords. Do not locate this product where the cords will be abused by person’s walking on them. 7. Do not use this product in the vicinity of gas leak or any explosive fumes. To report such a hazardous condition, use a telephone away from the area in question. 8. Do not place this product near or over a radiator or heat source. 9. This product should only be operated with the Mains Power Unit supplied. 10. Do not overload the Mains wall outlets and extension cords as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock. 11. Do not open this product. No user serviceable parts are inside. Take it to a qualified serviceman when service or repair work is required. Opening the product may expose yourself to dangerous voltage or other risks. Incorrect reassemble may result in electric shock when the product is subsequently used. 12. Never spill liquid on the product or push object of any kind through its ventilation slots. 13. Avoid using this product during an electrical storm. There may be a remote risk of electrical shock from lighting. 14. Use only the recommended by the manufacturer and only with the equipment provided by the manufacture. Gently rotate the flexible base antenna until it is positioned vertically. Note: Incorrect installation of the antennas will affect the communication range. 2. Connect the telephone line cord supplied. Plug one end into the RJ11 jack marked "LINE" at the back of the base unit and the other end into the power outlet. 3. Connect the Mains Power adapter supplied. Plug one end of the adapter into the 120/230V AC power socket and insert its mini-plug into the DC power socket at the back of the base unit. The base unit will show “STBY ICM”(standby) on LCD display when power is connected. Note: Use only the adapter supplied. Use of any other adapter could cause serious damage to the base unit 4. The system is preset for Tone dialing. Changing to Pulse dialing can be adjusted in some countries – refer to “Programming Instruction”. 5.
