FCC ID: PJMLRU2000 FEIG ELECTRONIC GmbH1/1 Modular Approval requests ID ISC.LRMU2000 / ID ISC.LRU2000 The requirements of Public Notice DA 00-1407 are met as follows: 1. The UHF circuitry of the reader module has its own RF shielding. The RF shielding is shown in the photographs of the Test Report. 2. The ID ISC.LRMU2000 or the ID ISC.LRU2000 have buffered data inputs 3. The ID ISC.LRMU2000 or the ID ISC.LRU2000 have their own voltage regulators. 4. A unique SMA-connector provides connection between the ID ISC.LRMU2000 or the ID ISC.LRU2000 and an external antenna as shown in the photographs of the Test Report. 5. The EUTs were tested in a standalone type configuration as described below: The reader was set in the buffered read mode. In this mode the reader buffers all read data of transponders till the buffers are read out of a host. 6. A label with the FCC ID is stuck on the module an a copy of this label has been included in the Installation Manual for this product. The Installation also includes instructions how to label the end product. 7. The ID ISC.LRMU2000 or the ID ISC.LRU2000 are compliant with all applicable FCC rules. Instructions for maintaining compliance are given in the Installation Manual. 8. The ID ISC.LRMU2000 or the ID ISC.LRU2000 are compliant with all applicable RF exposure requirements for devices intended for mobile operation.

FCC ID: PJMLRU2000 FEIG ELECTRONIC GmbH1/1 RF Exposure Compliance Requirement ID ISC.LRMU2000 / ID ISC.LRU2000 The maximum permissible exposure (MPE) for general population is defined as 0.6mW/cm 2 ( f / 1500, FCC OET Bulletin 65, Supplement B). The distance from the transmitting antenna where the exposure level reaches the maximum permitted level is calculated using equation (1): 2 4R EIRP S ⋅⋅ = π (1) where: S = Power density 0.6mW/cm 2 EIRP = Power output of an isotropic antenna 4W R = Distance to the centre of the radiation of the antenna Solving equation (1) the minimum distance at which a person must keep away in a uncontrolled exposure is R = 23cm The maximum permissible exposure (MPE) for controlled exposure is defined as 3mW/cm 2 ( f / 300, FCC OET Bulletin 65, Supplement B). Solving equation (1) where S = 3mW/cm 2 the minimum distance at which a person must keep away in a uncontrolled exposure is R = 10,3cm
