Users Manual

Optical Wheel Mouse 1. System Requirement Windows95, NT : Only support PS/2 Windows98, 2000, ME, XP : Support PS/2 and USB HDD : 10MB or more 2. Connect the Mouse (* Please select A or B depend on your system) A. Connect the mouse using a USB Port 1) Turn on your computer 2) Remove the PS/2 port adapter 3) You can connect the mouse to USB port on your computer 4) Follow the instructions on the screen B. Connect the mouse using a PS/2 Port 1) Turn off your computer 2) You can connect the mouse to PS/2 port on your computer 3) Turn on your computer 3. Software Installation 1) Insert the KTEC Optical Wheel Mouse Software CD/FDD 2) Double click ‘setup.exe’ file 3) Follow the instruction on the screen 4. Trouble Shooting A. When the mouse does not work 1) Make sure mouse is properly connected 2) Make sure there are no device conflicts in your computer. To do this: 3) Open the ‘control panel’ from ‘My computer’. 4) Run ‘System’ icon, and select the ‘Device Manager’ folder. 5) Point to item list under the ‘Mouse’ icon. 6) Press the ‘Remove’ button to remove the other Mouse Driver. 7) Re-install the KTEC Optical Wheel Mouse Driver. B. The Screen Curser Does not Track Well If your Tabletop is highly reflective surface, such as glass or mirrors, please try to use normal mouse pad or different tabletop surface. 5. Dear Customer Thank you for purchasing the KTEC product which has been designed and manufactured to the world-leading level of quality. If something should go wrong with this product, KTEC guarantees free of charge labor and replacement parts irrespective or the country where it is repaired during a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. The KTEC Guarantee may not apply if: - the documents have been altered in anyway or made illegible; - the model or production number on the product has been altered, deleted, removed or made illegible; - repairs or product modifications and alterations have been executed by unauthorized service organizations or persons; - damage is caused by accidents including but not limited to lighting, water or file, misuse or neglect. Please note that the product is not defective under this guarantee in the case where modifications become necessary in order for the product to comply with local or national technical standards which apply in countries for which the product was not originally designed and/or manufactured. Therefore always check whether a product can be used in a specific country. In case your KTEC product is not working correctly or is defective, please contact your KTEC dealer. In the event you require service which in another country a dealer address can be given to you by the closest business branch of KTEC Electro-Mechanics, the telephone and fax number of which can be found in the relevant part of this booklet.
