But now, you can extend that pleasure to a new level. Imagine tuning your radio and getting the original programs of the era when the set was made! Listen to the programs the radio originally picked up during it’s “heyday”. All of this is possible with the solid state TR1500 made by ARS. This unit, measuring 3 ¼ x 4 ½”, will transmit the output of a tape or CD player to your vintage radio. Amaze your friends and family when receiving a broadcast of the Jack Benny show or Orson Well’s great programs of the 1930’s. For more information, contact ARS or your local distributor. FCC ID: PPUTR1500-ARS TR1500 operation FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION RADIO AND TELEVISION INTERFERENCE STATEMENT Changes or modifications not expressly approved by ARS could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. NOTE: This product was FCC certified under test conditions that included the use of shielded I/O cables and connectors between system components. To be in compliance with FCC regulations, the user must use shielded cables and connectors and install them properly. This device complies with part 15 of the FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. The transmitter operates between approximately 850 and 1450 Khz, and accepts inputs from cassette decks, CD players, etc. It is intended for short range (in home) usage. INST ALLAT ION: Run the antenna fully extended in a straight line, avoiding nearby metallic objects. Do not coil it up. DO NOT add any length to the antenna, as it will no longer tune correctly, resulting in lower output. Re-orient the antenna if required for best performance. Run the gro und wire to a gro und so urce. Gro und must be co nnected for correct operation of the unit. Connect the RCA jacks to your signal source (Cassette deck, CD player, etc.) Plug in the attached power supply. Turn on the transmitter and verify that the green pilot LED is on. Operating controls: (accessible from the top of the transmitter with a small tuning tool or jewelers sc rewdriv er) FREQ ADJ – Sets the transmitter frequency. Adjust to an open frequency in yo ur area, to avoid interfering with other broadcasters. Fine tuning may be do ne with yo ur receiver. ANT TUNE – Tunes the antenna for maximum o utput. After you have set your frequency, adjust this for the stro ngest signal. You may wish to temporarily move your receiver f urther away for fine adjustments. If the transmitter antenna is moved, TUNE may require re-adjustment. AUDIO LEVEL – Adjust this for the maximum volume without distorting. . Operating tips: DO NOT: Jam other broadcasters. Attempt to modify the transmitter unit. Transmit obscenities or false distress signals. “make up” call signs. DO: Identify your station. “Radio Bob, Main street, Pittsburgh”.
