If you still have any difficulty or problem, please contact sales representatives or the manufacturer. 1 z This controller can only be workable with the Radio-receiver of Luxury Ceiling Fan. z This controller features compact volume and easy operation. z This controller uses radio pulse code to control, immune to different direction and angle. The remote-control signal, encoded with 12 bits stream, cannot produce any interference on other equipment and, also be free of wrong control from the disturbance of other radio sources. z Caution the user that changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this controller z Functions of controller OFF Key: Fan off HI Key: High fan speed MED Key: Medium fan speed LOW Key: Low fan speed ON/OFF Key: Light on/off DIMMER Key: Light dimmer 2 z Operation 1. Installation of battery a. Remove the battery lid as the arrow direction shown in the illustration. b. Confirm the correct polarity of battery and load a 9V battery into the compartment. c. Confirm if the position of code-switch on the controller is same as that on the Receiver. NOTE: a. Please use a new leakage-proof alkaline battery. b. Remove battery if the controller is not in use for a long time. c. Please put discarded battery into specified recycling places. 2. Usage: a. Start: Press any Fan Speed key to start the fan up. Note: When the MED or LOW keys is pressed to start, the fan will firstly run at high speed for 6 seconds, then turn to medium or slow speed accordingly. b. Speed Control during operation Pressed Key Function OFF Fan stops running after a press on this key HI Fan runs at a high speed after a press on this key MED Fan runs at a medium speed after a press on this key LOW Fan runs at a low speed after a press on this key c. Lamp control Pressed Key Function ON/OFF The light will been switched between ON or OFF after the key is pressed once. DIMMER Keep pressing this key for long period, you can adjust the light level only within 5 seconds during this period. If want to continue adjusting, please press this key again. 3 d. Codes of controller Codes are set by pushing DIP switches up or down as shown in the following illustration before use. It is imperative that the code used for both controller and receiver is exactly same (the position of DIP switch for receiver and controller is same), otherwise remote control will nor work. For simplification, we suggest all buttons to be set in the DOWN (OR UP) position on both receiver and controller. Please note the code switch will enable you to operate 2-second remote controller independently. For example, if you have two ceiling fans with 2 remote control units, set 2 different codes foe each set of controller/receiver. This means you can operate each ceiling fan independently. z Troubleshooting Failure Possible causes Solution Short control distance No enough charge in the battery Replace with new battery 1. Because the battery was not removed while the controller was not in use for long time, it has been out of charge Replace with new battery 2. The position of DIP switch on Receiver and on the controller is not exactly same. Re-set the DIP switches 3. Receiver damaged Replace the receiver No reaction to remote control 4. The controller damaged Contact sales representative or manufacturer 4 z Notice In order to better use of this controller, please: 1. Don’t violently strike this controller; 2. Don’t expose it to the direct sun light. 3. Don’t expose it to the environment of high temperature and humidity 4. Don’t let children play it as a toy. z Specifications 1) Microprocessor model: HT12E/HOLTEK CO.LTD MIC102BM/MICREL CO.LTD 2) Frequency range in MHz: (315±0.5)MHz 3) Data rates to 20 kbps. 4) Duty radio: APP. 0.28 5) When operate a key on the controller, the controller will automatically deactivate the transmission within not more than 5 seconds. 6) Supply voltage: DC 9V of battery. 7) Operating temperature: -10°C to +35°C. z Outer Dimensions: (unit: mm)
