It can connect your other devices to it and becomes a HD media player. It’s truly a revolutionary entertainment product that you can enjoy at home. Features 720MHZ DUAL CORE MIPS CPU (1345DMIPS). MAXIMUM OF 512 MBYTES OF 1600MHZ DDR3. W3C COMPLIANT, HTTP 1.1, HTTPS, CSS2 AND SOME CSS3, HTML 5, XML 1.0 JAVA SCRIPT 1.5. USB SUPPORT FOR MASS STORAGE PLAYBACK, KEYBOARD, MOUSE. IR REMOTE CONTROL Telergy Striker HD User’s Manual Page 2 Start Up Setup Wizard Guide Note: You will only see this Setup Wizard when the set‐top box is being used for the first time or after a successful factory reset. To manually reset the individual settings please go to the Settings page on the main menu. 1. Welcome page When you press “ENTER” on the remote control, the language setting page will be loaded. 2. Language page Telergy Striker HD User’s Manual Page 3 Select one of the available languages by pressing up and down arrow keys, then press “ENTER”. The whole set‐top box language will be changed automatically according to your selection, and it will go to the next page. 3. Display Mode page Select one of the display modes, then press “ENTER”. A confirmation dialog box will pop up. Telergy Striker HD User’s Manual Page 4 If you select ‘No’ and press “Enter”, the display mode will be set to the previous settings. If you select ‘Yes’ and press “Enter”, the display mode that you chose is saved, and it will bring you to the next page. 4. Server URL page Press any numeric key (0,1,2...) to show the “soft keyboard” where you can conveniently input the URL that you want (e.g. http://www.google.com). Telergy Striker HD User’s Manual Page 5 Press “Enter” key to save, and a confirmation dialog box will pop up. If you select ‘No’ and press “Enter”, the dialog box will disappear, and it will go back to the Server URL setting page. If you select ‘Yes’ and press “Enter”, it will save the server URL that you input, and then load the next page. Note: When you have successfully completed the Setup Wizard without any error, the set‐top box will automatically redirect to this server URL to start with. Telergy Striker HD User’s Manual Page 6 5. Network page There are two options available for the network settings: LAN (for wired with a RJ‐45 network cable) and WiFi (for a wireless connection). You have to choose appropriately which type you want to use, but also considering the network environment that you have. If you choose to use LAN connection, then please make sure you have plugged in the network cable first. Press “Enter” key, and a network test page will be loaded and it will analyze your LAN settings automatically. If you choose to use WiFi, then select the WiFi option, and press ‘ENTER’, it will scan the WiFi network and show the available network list at once. Telergy Striker HD User’s Manual Page 7 If the scan has failed, please double check your WiFi router. If the scan is successful, then the WiFi service list will be shown. Please use the UP/DOWN key to select the network that you want to connect to. Telergy Striker HD User’s Manual Page 8 Press “Enter” key to configure the WiFi settings. Please input the correct password in the appropriate field. If there’s no password specified, then please leave it blank. Select and press ‘Enter’ key on the soft keyboard, and it will connect to that WiFi network. Note: Currently the STB can’t verify whether the password you’ve entered is correct or not, so please make sure you have input the password correctly. Telergy Striker HD User’s Manual Page 9 During the 30 seconds, if the connection fails, a dialog box such as ‘It’s taking longer than expected. Do you still want to continue?’ will pop up. If you select ‘No’, the dialog box will disappear. Please check your password and WiFi network again at this time. If you select ‘Yes’, it will continue to trying to connect to that WiFi network. Telergy Striker HD User’s Manual Page 10 If connection is successful, a network test page will be loaded and it will analyze your network setting automatically. 6. Network Test page These 3 connections: Local Network connection, Internet connection and Service connection will be checked. Local Network Connection is to check if the set‐top box is ready to use the network. If it fails, please check your device (e.g. the network cable or WiFi network). If the Local Network Connection test is successful, it will go to check the Internet connection next. Internet Connection is to check whether the set‐top box can access the Internet or not. The set‐top box will “ping” a Google host. If it has no response from Google, it will simply assume at this point that the set‐top box cannot connect to Internet and therefore the test has failed. Telergy Striker HD User’s Manual Page 11 If it receives the right response from Google, then it will assume the connection is made successfully, and therefore it will go to check the Service connection next. Service Connection is to check that the set‐top box can indeed connect to the Server URL that you’ve inputted in the Server URL setting page. The set‐top box will “ping” the Server URL host.
