Phone: + 1 408 586 6200 Fax: + 1 408 586 6299 e-mail: [email protected] UR L: www .c etec om.c om Description of test configuration The PCS / GSM Compact Flash Card is designed to cover the 900/1800 and 1900 MHz band. This application is only for the GSM 1900 band for the US. The 900/1800 MHZ bands are in line with the GSM specification and fulfill the requirements of the GSM MoU as well as the regulatory requirements of the European Union. The Compact Flash Card was tested in a HP Journada PDA for the FCC part 24 tests as well as for the SAR tests. The PDA application is the main application and provided the closest proximity to the body and therefore represents the highest values for the body SAR. However it will be used in combination with an PCMCIA adapter as a PCMCIA Card used in typical laptop applications too. The device cannot be operated held to ear. The voice connection is made via a headset, which was used for SAR tests as well. For the radiated emission tests according the FCC part 24 the maximum of all three orthogonal planes is reported.
