Unscrew the screw on the back of the compartment and remove the cover. 3. Insert the batteries observing the correct polarity. 4. Replace the battery cover on the unit and seal by re-screwing tightly. 5. When a “Low Battery” symbol appears on the part of Outdoor Temperature, please replace batteries of the remote unit. 6. At few occasions (interfered by environment, for instance), the LCD display might be abnormal, and then reload the corresponding batteries until it is ok. 7. After installation of the new batteries, the setup procedures need to be performed. (See Setting the remote transmitter(s) Setting the remote transmitter Upon power up the temperature RF signal is sent from the transmitter to the main unit automatically. Please place the transmitter outside in a dry, shaded area. Try relocating the transmitter if the main unit does not display the outdoor temperature after 3 minutes. There are 2 buttons inside the back of remote. 1) O C/ O F--- To change the remote displays Centigrade or Fahrenheit 2) TX --- To test communication between remote and main unit 2 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Do not expose the appliance to strong temperature variations, humidity, direct sunlight or dust. Keep the remote out of reach of small children. Attention! Batteries can be life threatening, if swallowed. Therefore, keep batteries and clock out of reach of small children. If a battery has been swallowed, seek medical advice immediately. The batteries provided must not be charged or re-activated by any other means, taken apart, thrown into fire or short-circuited.
