Please respond to, and forward where necessary, all necessary items for review to continue and Grant to be issued. Any questions, please let me know. Administrative Questions: 1. The 15.105 statement that you used in the manual was for Class A (commercial use). Is the device to be used for residential setting? If so, please replace the statement with the 15.105 Class B statement. 2. Schematics Diagrams - None were submitted (this is also mentioned in technical request). 3. Photos and label and location - The test report had all of these requirements in there. However security was placed on the report. Therefore, I could not extract the necessary items to be used as exhibits for the FCC. Please resubmit test report without security, or submit separate pdf exhibits for internal photos, external photos, test setup photos, label and label location. 4. Please ensure that the document you sent to fill the requirement of operational description meets the requirements of 2.1033. I have attached an excerpt of this rule part for your easy access. RT questions: This system consists of 2 separate devices- the controller and the base. These are 2 different devices, and, as such, must obtain separate FCC ID numbers. Two applications are required. However, as the test report contains data for both devices, the same test report may be used in each application. Please inform us as to which of these devices, the controller or the base, the current FCC ID will be applied, and then submit a separate application (with a different FCC ID) for the other device. Even though you have requested confidential treatment for the schematics, they must still be submitted with the applications. Once submitted, they are withheld from public access, however, they are necessary for the technical review of the applications. Please submit frequency plots of the highest and lowest channels (902.1 and 927.9 MHz) in order to demonstrate compliance with the bandedge requirements of Section 15.249(d). Please state the RBW and VBW used to make the field strength measurements of the spurious emissions. How were average measurements made? FYI- the AC Line conducted test was performed to the old Section 15.207 specifications. The new Section 15.207 specifications are equivalent to those of CISPR 22. You may retest the AC Line Conducted emissions to the new specs, and submit that data, in order to demonstrate compliance. If you do not, then, pursuant to Section 15.37(h), the grant of authorization will expire in July of 2005 unless new test data is submitted prior to then demonstrating compliance with the new Section 15.207 specifications. Note, all the transmission frequencies for base hub have been shifted by 0.6MHz (initial transmit frequencies + 0.6MHz) in oder to meet the band edge requirement. Likewise for the the game controller transmit frequencies (initial transmit frequencies - 0.6MHz). As the transmit frequecies for both base and controller have been changed, the radiated emissions and conducted emissions for all parts had been remeasuremed to ensure the compliance. Only EUT firmware change for shfitng the transmission frequecies and no hardware change were invloved. Please state the RBW and VBW used to make the field strength measurements of the spurious emissions. >> Reflected in the report >> 30MHz - 1GHz: RBW=120kHz, VBW=1MHz >> >1GHz: RBW=1MHz, VBW=3MHz How were average measurements made? >> As the pulse train cycle is 285.6us, the average measurment was done over the complete cyle of the pulse train, inlcuding the blanking interval, according to the requirement stated in 15.35.
