These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: a) Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. b) Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. c) Connect the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. d) Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician. FCC Warning Modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user authority to operate the equipment under FCC Rules. Instructions concerning human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic fields. To comply with FCC Section1.307(b)(1) for human exposure to radio frequency electromagnetic fields, implement the following instruction: The equipment user should keep a distance of at least 20 cm. between the equipment antenna and his body or any other person. d Table of Contents Introduction ................................................................................................................1 Foreword...................................................................................................................1 General information..................................................................................................1 System Components Definition................................................................................1 Basic System Characteristics....................................................................................2 Safety and Operational Instructions.........................................................................3 Getting started ............................................................................................................4 System Components .................................................................................................4 Terminal Unit .......................................................................................................4 Terminal Unit Master Key....................................................................................5 Remote Controlled Unit .......................................................................................5 Remote Controlled Unit- 16 .................................................................................5 Inserting Batteries.....................................................................................................6 Navigating the System...........................................................................…

Test Report

1 Chris Harvey From:Chris Harvey Sent:Tuesday, August 05, 2003 10:44 AM To:'EMC' Cc:Marianne Bosley; TCB INFO Subject:RE: FCC ID Application for RACAM-TECH LTD. MT#14221 David, there are a few questions as we have started reviewing the documentation submitted: 1) There is a conflict between statements on Page 15 of 39, section 7.2, about the use of the Peak Detector with DCF correction, versus the measurement tables on Pages 25, 26, 29. The Duty Cycle Correction should be used for all measurements, including those above 1GHz. 2) ANSI C63.4 requires that hand operated devices be tested in 3 orthogonal axis (re-orient the EUT in 3 planes in addition to rotate 360 degrees) to determine the highest. Additionally, there was no mention of the movement of the EUT antenna (which moveable) to maximize the emissions. Please clarify these issues, or re-test as appropriate. 3) Please review the Radiated Spurious Data for compliance with the Restricted Bands of operation of 15.205. Apply the appropriate limits as necessary. 4) Was the Maximum Duty Cycle used? Just an FYI :The Users manual has an RF exposure statement that indicates that the user should maintain 20cm separation to the antenna. Although this is not a required statement for the field strengths per 15.231. We will continue to review the documentation and may have further questions as we proceed. Please respond to the above issues by e-mail to [email protected]. Test Report

1 Chris Harvey From:EMC [[email protected]] Sent:Wednesday, August 06, 2003 10:46 AM To:Chris Harvey (E-mail) Subject:RE: FCC ID Application for RACAM-TECH LTD. MT#14221 RE: FCC ID Application for RAC... E51151.01.pdf (132 KB) Ref: Your email of 05 August 2003 <<RE: FCC ID Application for RACAM-TECH LTD. MT#14221>> Hi Chris, Thank you for your response of 05 August 2003 In response to your comments please be advised: 1. Attached are the corrected tables for the tests in the report. <<E51151.01.pdf>> 2. Prior to the final radiated emission tests, the E.U.T. was placed in three orthogonal axes for each position of the E.U.T. case. The antenna was also re-oriented. At the selected orientation, the emission was highest relative to the limit. 3. We corrected some of the limits as follows: 3.1. Within Restricted Bands: The table of Section 15.209(a). The final result is based on using peak detector reading minus D.C.F. (14dB). This was used for the whole frequency range (30-4300MHz). 3.2. Out of Restricted Bands up tp 1GHz: Fundamental limit -20dB per table of Section 15.231(b). 3.3. Out of Restricted Bands Above 1GHz: For the Average limit: as in Section 3.2 of this document. For Peak limit: as above (Section 3.2) + 20dB, based on section 15.35(b). 4. The maximum transmission "On" time in a 100msec. window is 20msec. See Section 4.2 of the report (Theory of Operation), therefore the D.C.F. factor is -14dB. I hope that the above helps and again thank you for your prompt response.
