Blood pressure refers to the force or pressure exerted on the artery vessel when blood flows through them. In order to allow the blood to supply nutrition and oxygen to every organ and corner of the body, a certain level of pressure is necessary and it comes from the each time the heart beats or contracts. The heart activity is broken down into two phases called Systole and Diastole. Systolic is the pressure to send blood out into the body and Diastolic is the pressure creating as the heart pulls blood back through it.
