NORTHWEST EMC, INC. 22975 NW Evergreen Parkway, Suite 400 Hillsboro, OR 97124 November 2, 2004 Dear Application Examiner: On behalf of Sure Power Industries, Inc., Northwest EMC Inc is submitting this application for the certification of Sure Power’s Model 2875352 transmitter, FCC ID: SJU2875352. It is a low power transmitter seeking authorization under FCC 15.209. The transmitter is part of a retro-fit kit mounted on recreational motorized vehicles. Its purpose is to read the maximum permitted ground speed from a separate security device, and pass that information to the integral ground speed controller. The EUT can be configured with only one integral antenna. The antenna and circuit board are potted to maintain confidentiality of the design and to meet the requirements of 47 CFR 15.203. The technical reports and exhibits demonstrate compliance with FCC rules 47 CFR 15.209 Your efforts in reviewing this application are greatly appreciated. Northwest EMC TCB Approval Opinion Revision 05//02 SURE0043 Information about the Applicant Applicant: Sure Power Industries, Inc. Address: 10189 SW Avery St City, State, Zip Tualatin, OR 97062 Test Requested By: Lawrence Harmon Model: 2875352 FCC ID: SJU2875352 Agent Northwest EMC, Inc. Approval Type Certification Equipment Type Low power intentional radiator Rule Part 15.209 Overview The transmitter is part of a retro-fit kit mounted on recreational motorized vehicles. Findings Item Report does not indicate frequency range of radiated measurements. Resolution Report updated to indicate frequency range of radiated measurements. Item Schematic shows 15 MHz CLK, as specified by 15.209: In accordance with Section 15.33(a), in some cases the emissions from an intentional radiator must be measured to beyond the tenth harmonic of the highest fundamental frequency designed to be emitted by the intentional radiator because of the incorporation of a digital device. It appears this should be tested to 1 GHz. Resolution Equipment is only for vehicle mounting, therefore exempt from the part 15 requirements for a digital device. Recommendation All items have been resolved and completed to my satisfaction; therefore I recommend this application for approval.
