Working Principle CC2500 is the transceiver of PS3 Wireless Guitar.The CC2500 is a low cost true single chip 2.4GHz transceiver designed for very low power wireless application .The circuit is intended for the ISM (Industrial,Scientific and Medical) and SRD(Short Range Device) frequency band at 2400-2483.5MHz. The RF transceiver is integrated with a highly configurable baseband modem.The modem supports various modulation formats and has a configurable data rate between 1.2-500 kbps. The communication range can be increased by enabling a Forward Error Correction option,which is integrated in the modem. CC2500 provides extensive hardware support for packet handling, data buffering,burst transmissions, clear channel assessment, link quality indication and wake-on-radio. The main operating parameters and the 64-byte transmit/receive FIFOs of CC2500 can be controlled via an SPI interface.In a typical system, the CC2500 will be used together with a microcontroller and a few additional passive components. CC2500 is based on Chipcon’s SmartRF 04 technology in 0.18 um CMOS.

TEST METHODOLOGY The tests documented in this report were performed in accordance with ANSI C63.4 and FCC CFR 47 2.1046, 2.1047, 2.1049, 2.1051, 2.1053, 2.1055, 2.1057, and 15.249. 3.1 EUT CONFIGURATION The EUT configuration for testing is installed on RF field strength measurement to meet the Commissions requirement and operating in a manner that intends to maximize its emission characteristics in a continuous normal application. 3.2 EUT EXERCISE The EUT was operated in the engineering mode to fix the TX frequency that was for the purpose of the measurements. According to its specifications, the EUT must comply with the requirements of the Section 15.249 under the FCC Rules Part 15 Subpart C. 3.3 GENERAL TEST PROCEDURES Conducted Emissions The EUT is placed on the turntable, which is 0.8 m above ground plane.
