The CenTrak Hygiene Compliance System leverages the Hygiene Monitor to automatically monitor usage by caregivers along with their entry and exit to patient care areas. It eliminates costly manual monitoring and identified and proactively alerts caregivers who enter patient care environments without proper hand hygiene, to assist in compliance and behavior modification. The battery powered ITβ373A Hygiene Monitors can be mounted to any dispenser, canister, or pump to track their usage. It automatically communicates a specific caregiverβs badge ID and entry to an exit from patient care areas along with hand hygiene events, based upon hospital determined compliance business rules. The Hygiene Monitor communicates each event to the network which records each caregiverβs compliance performance. All of the recorded data is stored on CenTrakβs local or hosted server and can be accessed by third party compliance management and reporting solutions. The Red and Green LED indicators work by flashing a red light when the dispenser is activated and then by flashing a green light to indicate the monitor and Tag have interacted and the Tag ID has been received. There is also a tamper proof button on the back of the Hygiene Monitor, that if removed from a dispenser sends an alert to the system. The ITβ373A captures all hand hygiene events whether or not a caregiver is in direct line of sight of the Hygiene Monitor using a combination of technologies. Unlike other solutions hand hygiene compliance solutions, CenTrak is able to capture 100% of clinical hand washing events without errors. The battery operation and the simple mounting mechanism allows for quick and low cost installation of the device at hand hygiene stations. *ITβ373A is for use with the CenTrak 2.0 system. Order ITβ371 for use with the 1.0 system. ITβ373A CenTrak Hygiene Monitor shown attached to a dispenser ITβ373A CenTrak Hygiene Monitor Β© CenTrak 2012. All Rights Reserved.
