1 Clark, RandyFrom: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, March 10, 2011 1:32 PM To: TCB Subject: Response to Inquiry to FCC (Tracking Number 665555) (TCB) Importance: High FCC Home | Search | RSS | Updates | E-Filing | Initiatives | Consumers | Find Peopl e Office of Engineering and Technology Inquiry: We have a product with an alternate label placement requiring FCC review because the product does not meet the normal criteria specified in KDB 784748. The product is a benchtop device which comes in a s ealed closable NEMA rated enclosure. The lid closes with snap-lock style clasps. The manufacturer has requested the ID label placement on the interior of the lid of the enclosure. In review of KDB 784748, we believe that this represents a valid placement because: 1) The lid is not intended to be removed, it is secured with non-removable pins. 2) In order to operate the equipment, the lid must be opened making the ID Label readily visible during use of t he equipment. 3) There are no special tools require d to open the lid Please let us know if this placem ent ca n be approved. Response: The placement shows the proposed label as being rea dily visible during use of the equipment. You also attest to the fact there are ?no special tools required to open the lid?. This placement can be ap proved. Do not reply to this message. Please select the Reply to an Inquiry Response link from the OET Inquiry System to add any additio nal information pertaining to this inquiry.
