User Manual Ultrasonic Humidifier · Model No. VS 207 Important! Read and Save These Instructions. 2 Read all instructions: Important Safeguards When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be for followed for, including the following: 1. Always have water in the water tank when operating unit. 2. Use only clean, cool tap water to fill tank. 3. Care should be taken when using the appliance due to the emission of hot water vapour 4. Use only 110V-120V AC outlet. As with any electrical device, plug and unplug unit with dry hands only. Turn unit off prior to unplugging it. Unplug unit when not in the use and before you clean or move the unit. 5. unplug the appliance during filling and cleaning. 6. This unit shuts off automatically when water tank is empty. 7. Never operate unit with a damaged cord or plug. Keep cord straight. 8. If supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard 9. Always place unit on a flat, level surface away from direct sunlight. Keep cord away from heated surfaces and areas where it could be walked on or tripped over. 10. Do not add medication, fragrance, or oils of any type into the nozzle, base or water tank. Do not cover the nozzle of the unit or insert objects into any openings. 11. The unit should not be left unattended in closed rooms as air could become saturated and leave condensation on walls or furniture. Always leave room door partially open. 12. Do not tilt or tip unit or attempt to empty or fill it while it is operating. 13. Replace demineralization cartridge every 2-3 months. Place unit on a surface away from direct sunlight. Keep cord away from heated surfaces and areas where it could be walked on or tripped over. Fill Water Tank. Turn off humidifier and unplug unit. Remove tank base. Turn upside down and unscrew filling cap. Fill tank with clean, cool, distilled, filtered or tap water. Water temperature should NEVER be too hot or too cold. Extreme temperatures can damage unit. Tighten filling cap firmly. Return tank to base and let sit for a few minites. Mist Selection You can select cool or warm mist. At low temperature, you had better select warm mist. Push WARM MIST BUTTON for selection. Press once for warm mist. Press two times for cool mist. For warm mist, you may wait for about 15min until cold mist turns into warm. Humidity Control Press HUMIDITY BUTTON for humidity control. Ranging from 60%~30%, humidity increases 5% with one press. (30% 35% 40% 45% 50% 55% 60% Co) "Co" means the unit runs until no water remains in a tank at any temperature. Turn off unit and unplug power cord. Remove tank base and empty reservoir. Use cleaning brush provided in base and clean off mineral deposits and debris from oscillator and water sensor. Do not scrape or clean with tools that have metal parts. Be careful to not damage the surface of the oscillator. Attention: Damage to the oscillator may cause the unit to not work properly. The oscillator (ultrasonic transducer) is highly sensitive. Keep this important part clean and treat gently. Do not touch the oscillator while the unit is operating. Do not use soap, cleaning agents, detergents, or other chemicals for cleaning the tank and humidifier. After cleaning fill water tank(see instructions above) and return tank to base. Demineralization Cartridge The Venta-Sonic™‚ humidifier is equipped with a new demineralization filter cartridge. This cartridge was especially developed for the Venta-Sonic humidifier and is the next generation technology. A new nano-silver technology provides microbial protection and renders ionic silver sticks unnecessary. The filter housing contains a protective nano-silver material that helps prevent bacterial growth, calcium, and lime build-up. Replace the demineralization filter cartridge every 2-3 months or earlier, depending on your water quality. For replacement cartridges simply call our customer service toll free at (888) 333 8218. Vapor Adjustment Press VAPOR BUTTON for Vapor Adjustment. You have 3 adjustments. When power is on, initial setting is at maximum. After adjustments, press ON/OFF. Test Procedure Conducted emission measurements on the EUT were performed by "AC Power Line Conducted Emissions Testing" procedure as per MP-5. The EUT was set up on a wooden table 0.8 meters height, 1.0 by 1.5 meters in size, placed in the shielded enclosed with a side of wall of which constituted a vertical conducting surface of 2.2 m x 3.1 m in size to maintain 40 cm from the rear of EUT LISN(Line Impedance Stabilization Network, R & S (ESH3-Z5, 3825/2, 50 ohm / 50 μH) was installed and electrically boned to the conducting ground plane. The EUT was connected to the LISN using a typical power adapter. One of two 50 ohm output terminals of the LISN was connected to the EMI Receiver(ROHDE & SCHWARZ, ESI7, 20 Hz to 7 GHz) and the other was terminated in 50 ohms. Measurements were again performed after interchanging such a connection oppositely. The frequency range from 9 kHz to 30 MHz was examined and the remarkable frequencies were measured with Quasi-peak and Average values using the EMI receiver instrument (ROHDE & SCHWARZ, ESI7, 20 Hz to 7 GHz ; Detector Function ; CISPR Quasi-Peak & Average). The 6 dB bandwidth of the Receiver was set to 9 kHz The position of connecting cables of the EUT was changed to find the worst case configuration during measurements. The maximum emission level from the EUT occurred in such configuration as shown in the following photograph. Ref. Report No. 06 - 341 – 007 Page 5 of 11 Korea Testing Laboratory Telecommunication Team 222-13, Guro3-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul Korea 152-848 2. Photograph for the test configuration 3. Sample Calculation The emission level measured in decibels above one microvolt (dB㎶) was converted into microvolt (㎶) as shown in following sample calculation. For example : Measured Value at 0.01 MHz 67.9 dB㎶ @ Q-Peak mode + Cable Losses * 0.0 dB ---------------------------------------------------------------------- = Conducted Emission 67.9 dB ㎶ * In case of RG214/ RF cable 15 Ft, the loss is about 0.17 dB at the frequency of 30 MHz which is negligible.
