American Telecommunications Certification Body Inc. 6731 Whittier Ave, McLean, VA 22101 January 11, 2006 RE: NESS Ltd. FCC ID: TVF-L300-CU-V10 After a review of the submitted information for FCC, I have a few comments on the above referenced Application. 1) Please provide a clear photograph of the back of the board containing the TX. The current photos do not appear to be clear. 2) This is a portable device, but it is uncertain if it was tested in all 3 axis in effort to obtain worse case radiated measurements (power and spurious). Please review. 3) Please provide the manufacturers declaration for duty cycle as referenced in the test report that justifies appropriate duty factors applied. Where possible, the FCC also wants measured data to show theory is correct. 4) Users manual appears to be missing information required by 15.21. Please review/correct as necessary. 5) FYI....Under 15.247, it is recommended to provide an RF exposure exhibit regardless of output power. Please see attached as an example. 6) FYI....The spectral density should normally be calculated for 15.247 in cases where this may not be done at the antenna connector (see attached document). However given the power is < the spectral density limit, the spectral density will also be in compliance and we are therefore not requiring this to be retested. Timothy R. Johnson Examining Engineer mailto: [email protected] The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced application. Failure to provide the requested information may result in application termination. Correspondence should be considered part of the permanent submission and may be viewed from the Internet after a Grant of Equipment Authorization is issued. Please do not respond to this correspondence using the email reply button. In order for your response to be processed expeditiously, you must submit your documents through the AmericanTCB.com website. Also, please note that partial responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of this correspondence should be directed to the sender.

PCB RECOMMENDED CONFIGURATIONS Compact Reach Xtend has been designed to purposely minimise product integration efforts and optimise device performance. This document provides integration and mounting recommendations for the use of the Compact Reach Xtend Chip Antenna for wireless headset devices. Standard PCBs within this document were obtained through market research to provide you with the most accurate results. Size reduction and cost are the key drivers for the wireless headset market. Based on the importance of PCB space for component allocation, the recommended configurations are designed to provide the best performance using a minimum clearance area (PCB area without ground plane) for the antenna. These Application Notes provide you with both the performance of the headset PCB with standard plastic housing and the performance of the headset mounted on the user’s ear. Following the instructions in this guide, you will ̧ reduce your product development and manufacturing costs ̧ increase your device performance Please contact your sales representative at Richardson Electronics if you require additional information on antenna integration or optimisation on your industrial design. 3 mm 7 mm 2 mm Front View Back View FRACTUS S.A.
