The EUT has three oscillators, as shown in Figure 1 Associated with the NEC uPD78F138H Microcontroller are: ?4.9152 MHz main operating frequency ?32 kHz for time-of-day ?There is no signal path. The oscillators are within the microcontroller chip. The clocks do not extend to other circuitry. Associated with the Micrel RF505 Transceiver are: ?16 MHz crystal oscillator. ?The frequency synthesizer is contained within the RF505. ?The RF505 is a “zero-IF” type transceiver, i.e., there is no external 10.8 MHz or 455 kHz IF strip. ?The only signal path that extends from the RF505 is the 902 to 928 MHz signal to/from the antenna.
