When the PTT button is pushed (or the VOX mode is enabled) it sends out radio frequency (RF) signals. The device is authorized to operate at a duty factor not to exceed 50%. In August 1996, the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) adopted RF exposure guidelines with safety levels for hand-held wireless devices. Important:To maintain compliance with the FCC’ s RF exposure guidelines hold the transmitter at least 1 inch (2.5 centimeters) from your face and speak in a normal voice, with the antenna pointed up and away. If you wear the handset on your body while using the headset accessory, use only the Audiovox supplied carry clip for this product and ensure that the antenna is at least 1 inch (2.5 centimeters) from your body when transmitting. Use only the supplied antenna. Do not use your transceiver with a damaged antenna. Unauthorized antennas, modifications, or attachments could damage the transmitter and may violate FCC regulations. Performance: Your transceiver will only achieve its maximum operating range when communicating with other transceivers across open and flat areas or between elevated points. Normally occurring environmental factors such as buildings, trees, terrain and weather, or interference from other radio or electrical equipment, may have adverse effects on the transceiver’s effective range. These are not indicative of a fault condition. Avoid placing the GMRS7015RC radio transceiver for prolonged periods of time in direct sunlight or temperatures below -4 °F(-20°C) or above 140°F (60°C). Place the rubber cover on jacks when not in use. 3 xxx-xxxx 4 of 28 WARNINGS: Battery Care Never attempt to charge alkaline or dry cell batteries, as batteries may burst causing personal injury and damage to the product. If rechargeable batteries are used, such as Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH), use only the supplied Audiovox-approved rechargeable batteries. Use of the Audiovox charger (also supplied) with other brands of batteries is not recommended, as battery charging times will vary with different brands. Refer to the Manufacturer’s instructions for charging other brands of batteries. Battery Disposal In general, if handled improperly, batteries pose a risk of fire or burns. Do not disassemble, crush, puncture, short external contacts, or dispose of the batteries in fire or water. Dispose of the batteries in a environmentally safe manner and recycle whenever possible. FCC WARNING Replacement or substitution of transistors, diodes or other parts of a unique nature, with parts other than those recommended by the manufacturer, may cause a violation of the technical regulations of Part 15 of FCC Rules. GMRS LICENSE: USE OF THIS RADIO WITHIN THE UNITED STATES REQUIRES AN FCC GMRS LICENSE. AN INDIVIDUAL 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, WHO IS NOT A REPRESENTATAIVE OF A FOREIGN GOVERNMENT, IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A GMRS SYSTEM LICENSE. YOU WILL NEED TWO FORMS FROM THE FCC: FCC FORM 159, AND FCC FORM 605 (MAIN FORM AND SCHEDULE F). TTI TTI International Limited Unit 1106-1110, 11/F, Star House, 3 Sailsbury Road, Tshimshatsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong Tel : (852) 6236 7320 or 2302 1020 Fax : (852) 2302 1069 CONFIRMATION STATEMENT DATE : April 04, 2007 F ederal Communications Commission Authorization and Evaluation Division 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 To Whom It May Concern: We confirm that the model no.GMRS7015RC (FCC ID : U32GMRS7015) does not have a capability of tuning the frequencies assigned or readily being altered by the user to operate to the Domestic public Cellular Radio Telecommunications Service in part 15.121 of the Commission’s Rules. In this circuitry, the frequency generation is PLL type so that the frequencies shall be tuned and controlled by the CPU. The used CPU also does not have a capability to cover the cellular frequencies. Even if CPU is change to receive the cellular frequencies, the VCO cannot cover the cellular frequencies. Also the CPU is a die bonded and wired to the PC board and “hardened” with a black epoxy that covers the CPU, it is impossible user to modify or change the CPU. Therefore this unit still remains the state in which the unit cannot receive any cellular frequencies. This is to certify that the conditions mandated in part 15.121 have been met. Sincerely, N.T.KIM / Managing Director

RADIATION INTERFERENCE: The test procedure used was ANSI STANDARD C63.4-2003 using a HEWLETT PACKARD spectrum analyzer with a preselector. The bandwidth of the spectrum analyzer was 100 kHz with an appropriate sweep speed. The analyzer was calibrated in dB above a microvolt at the output of the antenna. The resolution bandwidth was 100kHz and the video bandwidth was 300kHz. The ambient temperature of the UUT was 9.4 with a humidity of 82%. FORMULA OF CONVERSION FACTORS: The Field Strength at 3m was established by adding the meter reading of the spectrum analyzer (which is set to read in units of dBuV) to the antenna correction factor supplied by the antenna manufacturer. The antenna correction factors are stated in terms of dB. The gain of the Preselector was accounted for in the Spectrum Analyzer Meter Reading. Example: Freq (MHz) METER READING + ACF = FS 33 20 dBuV + 10.36 dB = 30.36 dBuV/m @ 3m ANSI STANDARD C63.4-2003 10.1.7 MEASUREMENT PROCEDURES: The unit under test was placed on a table 80 cm high and with dimensions of 1m by 1.5m. The table used for radiated measurements is capable of continuous rotation. When an emission was found, the table was rotated to produce the maximum signal strength. At this point, the antenna was raised and lowered from 1m to 4m. The antenna was placed in both the horizontal and vertical planes.
