Instructions for Gate Operator Radio Controls: Single Entry Transmitter 1. Remove the Transmitter Cover Open the transmitter by removing the two screws on each side of the spring clip on the back of the transmitter. This will expose the battery and the dip switches. The code can now be changed using a small screwdriver. 2. Setting New Code There are nine (9) dip switches, each of which can be placed in three different positions (+,0,-). DO NOT set all switches in the same position, such as all +, all -, or all zeros. WARNING: No other adjustments should be made inside the transmitter. Now that your have selected your personal code, reassemble the transmitter. 3. Commit New Code to Memory in... MM500/502/250/350 and PRO-SW3000/4000/ SL1000/2000 Gate Operators On the gate opener control board locate the LEARN TRANSMITTER but- ton. A. Press and hold the transmitter button. B. Press and hold the LEARN TRANSMITTER button on the control board for 5 seconds or until the buzzer sounds. C. Release the transmitter button. D. Release the LEARN TRANSMITTER button on the control board. The new code is learned. Commit New Code to Memory in... FM700/702/1000/2000 On the gate opener control board locate the LEARN button. A. Turn control box power switch OFF. B. Press and hold the LEARN button on the control board, and turn the power switch ON. Release LEARN button. Wait 15 seconds for the receiver to charge. C. Press and hold transmitter button until the red STATUS LED comes ON. D. Release transmitter button. The new code is stored in control board memory. 4. Using your transmitter The transmitter can either be hand held or mounted on the sun visor of your vehicle. To activate your gate operator, simply depress your transmitter button until the gate begins to move. CAUTION: Each transmitter is set to a factory preset code. It must be changed to safeguard against unauthorized or unwanted operation. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SINGLE BUTTON TRANSMITTER Read the following instructions thoroughly before using transmitter. Operational Description

Circuit Description of RB741 & RB742 Both RB741 (one button) and RB742 (two button) are RF transmitters for gate operator radio control system. RB741 and RB742 share the same PCB, but different assemblies. Parts (R2, D2, D5) are only installed for the second button version - RB742. Each transmitter is supplied with a 12V DC battery. The red LED on the transmitter lights on when the button is pressed, to indicate RF transmission. The red light is dim indicates that the battery in transmitter may be weak and need be replaced. HT6026 (U1) is an encoder. The HT6026 detects the setting on the 9 posts 3 throws switch (SW3) and generates code. Each post of SW3 can be set in ternary states (low, high, or open). Then, there are 3 9 = 19683 different codes for user. L2, C6, C7, Q1, and X1 are parts of the Colpitts oscillator. The oscillator generates 318MHz carrier wave. Above code signal will modulate the Colpitts oscillator. RF signal is sent out by antenna formed in PCB trace.
