Document History..............................................................................................................3 1 1 INTRODUCTION The intent of this document is to present to the FCC the required documentation and illustrations for the finalization of the FCC certification of the IP3458 DF STK Lite reader. 2 SCOPE The scope of this document is to illustrate and state the proposed labelling of the IP3458 DF STK Lite reader. 3 FCC PRODUCT LABELLING As the STK Lite reader IP3458 is an intentional mobile RF radiator it is required as per FCC Rules and Regulations part 15.19 (a)(3) to bear the following statement in a conspicuous location on the device: βThis device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.β And labeled accordingly to 15.19 (b)(1)(i) as illustrated below. Figure 1 The proposed label for the product will as such have the following form, and may be silk screened onto an aluminium plate. Figure 2 2 The label shall be attached in a cavity formed by surrounding plastics, and affixed using permanent adhesive as illustrated below: Figure 3 Note that material for the label shall be aluminium with grey undertone as with the product label.
