Operation is subject to the following two conditions: This device may not cause harmful interference, and must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Warnings: (a) Conditions to Satisfy Modular Transmitter Approval This device is intended only for use by OEM integrators under the following 3 conditions: 1) The antenna must be installed such that 20 cm is maintained between the antenna and the end user for all installations. 2) The transmitter module may not be co-located with any other transmitter or antenna. 3) The Module is approved using the FCC ‘unlicensed modular transmitter approval’ method. Therefore the module must only be used with the originally approved antennas. As long as the 3 conditions above are met, further transmitter testing will not be required. However, the OEM integrator is still responsible for testing their end-product for any additional compliance requirements with this module installed (for example, digital device emissions, PC peripheral requirements, etc.). IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event that any of these conditions can NOT be met (for example certain laptop configurations, co-location with another transmitter, or use of a different type antenna), then the FCC authorization for the module is no longer considered valid and the FCC ID can NOT be used on the final product. In these circumstances, the OEM integrator will be responsible for re-evaluating the end product (including the transmitter) and obtaining a separate FCC authorization. (b) Suggested End Product Labeling This transmitter module is authorized only for use in devices where the antenna may be installed in such a way that 20 cm may be maintained between the antenna and the users (for example access points, routers, wireless ASDL modems, and similar equipment). The final end product must be labeled in a visible area on the exterior of the enclosure with the following or similar text: "Contains TX FCC ID: VXY 70002". (d) RF Exposure Statements That Must be Included in the Final Devices Users Manual The user manual for consumers must include the following information in a prominent location: "IMPORTANT NOTE: To comply with FCC RF safety exposure limits, the antenna used for this transmitter must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20 cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter." (e) Additional Information That Must be Provided to OEM Integrators The end user should NOT be provided any instructions on how to remove or install the modular transmitter. PARAMETERS: Voltage input: 12 VDC Current power input:: 60mA / 0.7 Watt Radio Frequency Band: 902-927 Mhz WARRANTY INFORMATION The manufacturer provides warranty in accordance with the legislation of the customer's own country of residence, with a minimum of 1 year (Germany: 2 years), starting from the date on which the appliance is sold to the end user. The warranty only covers defects in material or workmanship. The repairs under warranty may only be carried out by an authorized service centre. When making a claim under the warranty, the original bill of purchase (with purchase date) must be submitted. The modular transmitter has its own RF shielding. 2. The modular transmitter has buffered data inputs/outputs. 3. The modular transmitter has its own power supply regulator. 4. The antenna is an integral printed circuit and cannot be changed by the user. 5. The modular transmitter was tested in a stand alone configuration, i.e., outside of the host SVM-7-1 and complies with the AC line conducted requirements. 6. The modular transmitter will be labeled with its own FCC ID. Also, the OEM host will be informed to display a label referring to the enclosed module “Contains FCC ID: VXY 70002” 7. The modular transmitter complies with §15.247. Installation and other requirements are presented in the user’s guide to allow the unit to be installed correctly. 8. Maximum Permissible exposure (MPE) Reference document: 47 CFR §15.247(i) & §1.1307(b)(1) Test Requirements: According to §1.1307(b)(1), systems operating under the provisions of this section shall be operated in a manner that ensures that the public is not exposed to radio frequency energy level in excess of the commission’s guideline. Limit 1mW/cm2 Calculation Result*: Power Density = 0.0033mW/cm 2 at a sphere of 20cm. The SAR measurement is not required.
