Full Guide anglais-14-02-11.indd 710/03/2011 18:28:50 9 Installing the USIM and battery -1- Remove the battery cover Ensure the USB / Charger port cover is closed, then slide down the battery cover towards the bottom of the Dior phone and pull it away. -2- Install the USIM card Slide the USIM card into the USIM card holder, making sure that the gold contact area on the card is facing down. Please make sure the battery is removed from the Dior phone before installing the USIM card. To remove the USIM card, pull it out gently. -3- Install the battery Insert the right side of the battery into the top edge of the battery compartment first. Ensure that the battery contacts align with the phone’s terminals. Press the left side of the battery down until it clicks into place. Connect the USB cable to the Dior phone and plug it into a power socket. Your Dior phone must be charged until the “Battery full” message appears on the screen. Note: for the first charge, the battery must be fully charged to improve battery life. Disregard the first “Battery full” message and keep the Dior phone on charge overnight. Power On & Off your Dior phone 1. Hold down the Power key for more than three seconds to switch on. 2. Enter your USIM card PIN code, if you have previously set one on your USIM card. Then the Dior phone searches for your network and when detected, will display the home screen. The status bar displays the signal strength, charging level, and time. 3. When you wish to switch off the Dior phone, hold down the Power key for more than three seconds. The touch screen is sensitive enough to pick up a light touch. • Use the tip of your finger to avoid selecting other options. • After the Dior phone has not been used for sometime it will automatically lock the screen. Auto lock duration can be changed under “Device settings”. Control the touch screen The controls on the Dior phone touch screen change dynamically depending on the task. Opening Applications To open any application, simply touch its icon. Scrolling Scrolling can be from side to side (e.g. in menu screen) or up and down (e.g. in Call log) depending on which screen is in use.
