The Qmotion remote transmitter is a handheld, battery operated remote control designed to operate an electronic window shade(s). There are two model versions of the Qmotion remote; the QTL184 and the QTL74. The two models are electrically identical and differ only in the number of buttons displayed on the front enclosure. The QTL184 has 3 rows of 18 buttons, while the QTL74 has 2 rows of 12 buttons. The two model versions are electrically identical; therefore only model QTL184 was evaluated. The device was tested in three orientations which represents normal intended operation. There are two model versions of the Qmotion remote; the QTL184 and the QTL74. The two models are electrically identical. The only difference is the QTL184 has 3 rows of 18 buttons, while the QTL74 has 2 rows of 12 buttons. Shades are programmed at the factory to recognize the remote control. By pressing one of the many buttons a compatible window shade can be made to go completely up or down, or to other user defined positions in between.
