Safe usage of product Thank you for using Flash Spike Strip. Our product is the safest and the first design of electronic remote control & automatic mechanical ejection tactical equipment. It brings success and safety to Operator in stop chasing tasks when facing the high speed wild running car near the road. For user’s benefit, please also carefully read over below safety instructions before using the product to safely use our product and guarantee the success of your task. Please don’t stand in front of launch hatch door of suitcase when using the product. Operator’s first maintenance task need to be under supervisor of experienced engineer. During maintenance task, please switch off the power before you refill strips into suitcase. During maintenance task, please avoid touching pole hook lock or turn pole hook handle after you locked it done and before you completely refill it into suitcase. During maintenance task, please pay attention to sharp spike and strip self-expansion when folding it. Please wear gloves if required. Product has complex circuit inside suitcase, please avoid throwing or swing it in the task. Product function problem can only be repaired by qualified engineer. 2. Product introduction 3. Deployment & Launch Deployment i. Put the suitcase aside the road with control panel facing outside of road. Adjust launching hatch door of suitcase (with mark ‘FLASH SPIKE STRIP’ or ‘CAR INTERCEPTOR’) to face the road inside vertically. See below diagram please. ii. Switch on the power clockwise in the left side of control panel. The system light in the center of control panel should start blinking in every 5 seconds. It indicates system has been started. See below diagram please. iii. Please pick up either of Mini remote control or Hand-held STOP remote control from top side of suitcase and walk to safe/tactical location to get ready for tasks. Please test status of wireless connection with system by pressing Button A. The status light on both sides of suitcase should start blinking then please press Button B to stop wireless connection testing. If the status light is not on after pressing Button A, please extend antenna of remote control or walk near to the system until it can receive signal properly. After go through above steps, now the system has been deployed and is ready for launch. It can be on standby at least 720 hours until the system has no juice. 05 Flash Spike Strip Launch i. If the chasing or suspect is coming soon, please open the safety of system by pressing button C of remote control. ii. Once operator see car chasing or suspect, press button D right away and the system will launch strip spike and block off the entire road within 2 seconds. Note: At Launch steps above, in some special cases such like missing remote control, battery has no juice etc. , operator can also manually switch on ‘emergency switch’ clockwise in the right side of panel of suitcase to launch strip spike to block off the road immediately after power is on. We’d highly recommend operator never let this happen because anyone who gets close to the road is very dangerous in stopping chasing tasks. Flash Spike Strip 4. Reloading Strips i. Switch off the power of system by turning power switch anticlockwise on the left side of the control panel. The system light in the center of control panel should be off now. PLEASE ALWAYS REMEMBER TO SWITCH OFF THE POWER BEFORE YOU RELOADING STRIPS INTO THE SUITCASE. See diagram below please: ii. The door of launch hatch of suitcase should be open now after just finished task. If it’s not or operator accidentally closed it, operator can also switch on ‘emergency switch’ clockwise on the right panel of suitcase to open the door of launch hatch.See diagram below please: Flash Spike Strip iii. Slowly plug in strip spike into suitcase by pushing pole hook until spring bolts automatically locks the strips. See diagram below please: iv. Pull out pole hook by below stepsa) Push pole hook lock ahead until its end (about 5 CM) b) Turn pole hook handle from horizontal to vertical 90 degree c) Then operator can pull pole hook from strip away d) Close the launch hatch door of suitcase e) put pole hook back ii. Two people walk towards by one foot hold edge of strips to fold. iii. Stay put to hold strips until iv. While one hand keep pressing down the pole hook cap, another hand turn pole hook handle on the other side from vertical 90 degree to 180 degree (a complete horizontal line). Then pole hook lock will automatically lock the strips(you will hear ‘click’ when it automatically locks strips). 6. Maintenance Tips The system has 4 D cells in cell box and it can be on standby for at least 720 hours for ready to launch. It has 5 power lights to indicate the power of cell. The light will become off one by one as the mark of decreasing power. Please change the 4 D cells at the appropriate time. The system has two remote controls. One is built as mini remote control shape and another is built as hand-held STOP shape so it will meet both requirements of normal highway patrol asking pull over and SWAT hidden interceptor tasks. There is a built-in 23A-12V cell in mini remote control. Please replace it at appropriate time. The hand-held STOP remote control has a built-in charge battery and flashlight function. Please charge it at appropriate time. Suitcase top can prevent rain water but please avoid water flood into suitcase because the product has complex circuit inside the suitcase. Operator should test this system at least once each year to make sure it’s in a good for use status. If op…
