21 1 Wireless PeriPheral hard Ware Manual Thank you for purchasing this peripheral motion-tracking device. For your personal safety and the safety of others, before using this product please carefully read the game’s instruction manual. !WARNING Participating in this video game involves movements and exertion that may be challenging for you depending on your fitness level. Use caution to avoid the possibility of serious injury or death. Read all warnings and instructions prior to use. Consult your physician before starting any new exercise routine. The level of routines provided is based only on an approximation of your current level of fitness, and the game cannot detect whether movements or exertions may be dangerous to you. You are responsible for exercising within your limits and seeking medical attention and advice as appropriate. Warm up and cool down correctly before and after any exercise. Pay attention to how you are feeling and do not over-exert yourself. Stop exercising immediately and consult your physician if you feel sick, dizzy, or light-headed, or if you feel pain or any unusual discomfort. Inspect all accessories before use and do not use if they appear damaged. Supervise use by children. !WARNING – RepetItIve MotIoN INjuRIes ANd eyestRAIN Playing video games can make your muscles, joints, skin or eyes hurt. Follow these instructions to avoid problems such as tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, skin irritation or eyestrain: Avoid excessive play. Parents should monitor their children for appropriate play. ` Take a 10 to 15 minute break every hour, even if you don’t think you need it. ` If your hands, wrists, arms or eyes become tired or sore while playing or if you feel symptoms such as ` tingling, numbness, burning or stiffness, stop and rest for several hours before playing again. If you continue to have any of the above symptoms or other discomfort during or after play, stop playing ` and see a doctor. NAtuRAL RuBBeR LAteX The EA Sports Active resistance band is made from natural rubber latex, which may in rare instances cause allergic reactions. pRopeR use This product is for use only with the EA SPORTS Active fitness video game and is not intended to affect the structure or function of the human body beyond such affects normally associated with general fitness equipment and is not intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of any disease. peRIpHeRAL CARe Keep the peripherals dry and away from open flames or other heat sources. 1. Do not leave the peripherals in a dusty or humid place.2. Do not modify or disassemble the peripherals under any circumstances.3. Use a damp cloth to clean the peripherals, never use chemicals.4. The strap can be rinsed with water and allowed to dry - do not immerse the heart rate sensor flap under 5. water and avoid getting the peripherals wet. Wipe off any sweat or moisture with a damp cloth after exercising. Do not let excessive amounts of sweat 6. dry on the peripheral or strap, as the dried salt can irritate your skin. Use the peripherals only with the appropriate gaming system for which it was designed. 7. BAtteRy sAFety Incorrect use of batteries may result in battery leakage, overheating or explosion. When using batteries, be sure to follow these instructions: Use high quality brand name batteries as they will provide a longer useful lifetime. 1. Do not dispose of the batteries in a fire, as they can explode if burned. Check with local codes for proper 2. disposal instructions. Do not open or mutilate the battery. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to the eyes 3. or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed. If the battery has leaked, be sure to carefully remove all fluid with a paper towel. Do not let any electrolyte touch your skin or clothes. If fluid comes into contact with the skin, flush with water immediately. Do not try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. 4.
