Circuit Description V70A is a 10.2’’ Pineview platform netbook. It has a high-performance CPU which is Intel GMA 950. With 667MHz data transfer in FSB, The GMA 950 connects directly to southbridge of Intel N270 Express chipset. Integrating the graphics and memory controller in itself, The 950 support 2 DIMMS with 2GB total memory max and which makes it one step closer to System on a Chip.The new processor is supposed to process multimedia faster and free up bandwidth for the processor to communicate with other components and have 512KB L2 cache, Hyperthreading, and 64-bit support. It also results in approximately a 50% reduction in avg TDP, enough that fanless designs should be viable. As a high performance clock generator, clock chip ICS9LPRS501 follows intel CK505 Yellow Cover for 64-TSSOP device specification. This clock synthesizer provides a single chip solution for Atom series or other CPUs and Intel chipsets also. ICS9LPRS501 is driven with a 14.318MHz crystal. It also provides a tight ppm accuracy output for serial ATA and PCI-Express support. There are two display ports come from GMA 950,LVDS and VGA ports. The max resolution of LVDS is 1280x800 and max resolution of VGA is 1400x1050. N270 series chipset can support I/O ports just as SATA,USB,PCIE ports. In addition, N270 series chipset cooperating with other chips, such as EC chip- WPC775L, LAN chip- RTL8102E, HDA Codec chip-ALC662,support lot’s of I/O ports.
