Manufactured for: Jobar International Made in China Carson, CA. 90745 9/11 RECORDABLE DOORBELL Battery Installation: • Indoor Unit- Unsnap the battery cover located on the opposite side of the speaker. Insert 3 AA batteries matching the polarities as indicated in the battery compartment and replace the battery cover. • Outdoor Unit- Using a flat tool (not included) gently push into the gap located on the back of the unit (right above the mounting hole) and unsnap the cover. Insert one 12v battery (model # A23 not included) as indicated inside the battery compartment and replace the battery cover. OPTIONAL: USE A 4.5v 500mA ADAPTER (NOT INCLUDED) TO POWER THE INDOOR UNIT. Selecting Built-In Chimes: • Position the switch located on the side of the item (under the select button) to the built-in chime position. • Press the select button (each time you press the select button the chime will change.) until you decide which chime you prefer. There are 8 built-in chimes to select from. Recording a Custom Chime: • Position the switch located on the side of the item (under the select button) to the custom chime position. Recording Voice • Simply press and hold the record button located on the side (last button) and speak into the microphone labeled Mic (located in the front of the item). The red indicator light located above the Mic will illuminate indicating the item is now recording. • When the recording memory (approx. 10sec) is full the red indicator light will shut off. Recording Song • Plug the provided Line-In cable into the Line-In jack (located on the side of the item above the Record button) and into the device you will be importing the song from. Have the device volume set to the highest setting when importing a song. • Choose the song you want to import and press play, at the same time press and hold the Record button on the item. The red indicator light will illuminate indicating the item is recording when the memory is full the light will turn off. EXISTING RECORDING WILL BE ERASED WHEN A NEW RECORDING, VOICE OR SONG IS RECORDED. Mounting Instructions: NOTE: TEST THE RECEPTION OF THE DOORBELL IN THE DESIRED INSTALLATION LOCATION, BEFORE MOUNTING THE ITEM (WORKS UP TO 100’ APART) • Drill a 1/8” hole on the wall ½” deep. • If the wall is hollow drill through the same hole with a ¼” drill bit and insert a wall anchor into the hole. Tap in the wall anchor lightly with a hammer until the anchor is flush with the wall surface. If you hit a wall stud use only the enclosed screw. • Insert the screw into the wall anchor leaving a minimum of 1/8 of the screw unthreaded to secure the item. • Matching the mounting holes on the INDOOR/OUTDOOR unit and the screw head, press the unit against the screw head and slide the unit downward so it secures properly. • Please note the steps above are to be used for mounting both the INDOOR and OUTDOOR units of this item. WARNING • ALL BATTERIES MUST BE THE SAME TYPE AS MENTIONED. • DO NOT MIX OLD AND NEW BATTERIES. • DO NOT MIX ALKALINE, STANDARD, OR RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES. • IF BATTERY CONTENTS ARE LEAKING, DISCONTINUE USE AND DISCARD. • REMOVE EXHAUSTED BATTERIES. • REMOVE BATTERIES IF NOT IN USE. • IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS ABOUT THE INSTALLATION SEEK THE SERVICES OF A QUALIFIED INSTALLER.
