User’s manual Remote Control and UI-Joystick part Reference: 003 – RP00-CU user’s manual partially page 4 of 11 Version: A.1 State: Released 1 Introduction This manual describes the use of the Remote Control unit, used in combination with our UI-Joystick as mounted in a RP00-CU stairlift 1 . If a stairlift is not in the required place, the Remote Control can be used to Call & Park at the designated parking spot. This is especially useful when more than one person is regularly using the lift. In another configuration, the Remote Control may be used as an Attendant control. Meaning that someone that is not seated in the chair (a care taker) can control the stairlift. This is especially useful in the case where the chair-user is impaired to operate the joystick themselves. Lastly, the repeater configuration can be used to extend transmissions so that the signal can travel longer distances when the surrounding environment is blocking the signal from the Remote Control to the chair. 1. The “Call & Park” and “Attendant” configurations are typically powered by four AAA batteries. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Remote Control and replace the batteries when they are empty. The “Repeater” configuration will typically be mounted to a wall on an intermediate floor. For continuous operation the Repeater is supplied by an external power supply. In order to use the Call & Park with repeater during black out, batteries could still be placed. In normal operation the USB power adapter (model: VER05US50-UB, 5V @1000mA) is used to supply the USB power to the remote. The unit automatically switches in case of blackout to batteries. When both the batteries and cable are present, close the back of the Remote Control battery cover and place the unit in the Wall mount plate. TK Home Solutions B.V.
