Follow these instructions to pair the remote with the speaker before use. You'll probably only need to pair the remote with the speaker the first time you use it. 1. Turn on your speaker. 2. Reconnect the speaker to your phone or to any other Bluetooth device it's been previously connected to. You can typically reconnect simply by having both the speaker and the other device on, and then by placing them within 30 feet of each other. 3. Hold or place the remote within two inches of the speaker. 4. Press any button on the remote. You may hear a voice prompt confirm that pairing has been successful. Using the remote with your Fugoo Bluetooth Speaker  Once the remote and the speaker have been paired, press the + (volume up) button once to re-establish the connection between the remote and the speaker. You may hear a voice prompt confirm that pairing has been successful.  The buttons on the remote work the same way as the corresponding buttons on the speaker itself, except that the remote also has Next Track and Previous Track buttons.  See the Fugoo Bluetooth Speaker User Manual for detailed descriptions of how to use the various buttons to control streaming music and speakerphone calls. Remote Control User Manual model FSNAR page 3 1/16/2014 Using another Fugoo remote with your Fugoo Bluetooth Speaker If your speaker has been previously paired with a Fugoo remote, follow these steps to clear the speaker's pairing list before can using another Fugoo remote with the speaker. 1. Turn on your speaker. 2. P ress and hold the Bluetooth button for 10 seconds to clear the pairing list. 3. Reconnect the speaker to your phone or to any other Bluetooth device it's been previously connected to. Hold or place the remote within two inches of the speaker. 5. Press any button on the remote. You may hear a voice prompt confirm that pairing has been successful. Replacing the battery The remote for the Fugoo Bluetooth Speaker operates from a readily-available 3 volt CR2032 lithium button cell battery. It may last as long as three years, so will rarely need replacing. 1. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to loosen the captive screw on the underside of the remote. Turn the screw until it releases and pops upward. Don't try to remove the screw, which is held in place by a spring. 2. Insert the edge of a small coin, or a CR2032 battery, into the slot in the battery cover (beneath the lanyard hole), and gently pry the cover open. 3. Turn the battery cover over, and pop the old battery out with a thumbnail or a small flat-blade screwdriver. 4. Orient the new battery so that its ' +' sign is facing the inside of the battery cover (also marked with a " +". sign). 5. Insert the battery under the two plastic tabs next to the edge of the battery cover. 6. Press the new battery firmly to seat it against the remaining plastic tab. 7. Insert the battery cover back into the metal frame of the remote control, and press it firmly until it seats securely, and its edge is flush with the body of the remote. 8. Re-tighten the screw in the battery cover, just enough to seat it.
