Users Manual

Wi‐MM BP200 Users Manual (Page1) Wi‐MM’s BP200 is a state of the art battery powered asset tracker and sensor platform adaptable to a wide variety of applications including: bicycle fleet management, cargo tracking, and mobile asset security. The small and versatile BP200 can be powered or charged from a wide range of power sources: +5V to +50V AC or DC or from a solar panel. The BP200 is used in conjunction with the Wi‐MM web Dashboard. Each BP200 has unique cellular network credentials, an assembly serial number, and a set of identification values linked to the asset associated with the particular BP200. All identification information and cellular network provisioning should be coordinated with Wi‐MM Customer Service prior to deploying the unit. The BP200 charge indication LED will light RED, when the unit is charging. Full charge is achieved when the RED LED goes off and the adjacent GREEN LED goes on. If the battery is fully depleted, it will take 3 to 4 hours for the unit to full re‐charge. The charge state of the battery at any given time is dependant upon the particular application. For security applications, the BP200 can remain dormant for more than two months and then wake up based on an accelerometer triggered event. For bike fleet applications, wired recharging can be eliminated and power for the unit can be derived from a dynamo hub generarator or solar panel. For battery power conservation, the BP200 will default to sleep mode, if none of the stimuli listed below are present. The BP200 can be factory configured to awaken based on any combination of: ƒ Accelerometer Trigger = Physical Movement ƒ Dynamo Generator Output Present = Wheel Turning ƒ API call from customer application = Kiosk Checkout Manufacturer: Wi-MM Corp. Sensor functional capability includes: ƒ Logging and Mapping GPS location ƒ Acceleration ƒ Relative Altitude (based on on‐board pressure sensor) ƒ Temperature ƒ Cell Network Signal Level The system also includes an alarm function that can be set or triggered remotely through the Dashboard. The alarm function includes an audible 100 dB buzzer, and automatic text and email notifications to registered administrators in addition to display alerts on the Dashboard. Alarms can be configured to can be triggered based on any combination of the following factors: ƒ Tamper detection based on motion sensing ƒ Excessive Speed ƒ Violation of a Geo‐Fence The BP200 can be reset to factory installed firmware by holding the soft reset button for about five seconds and then releasing. After a two tone sound, all LEDs will flash and the system will restart. The restart process may take up 30‐60 seconds as the system connects to the cellular network and acquires the GPS signal. The restart process is complete when the unit beeps once and the GPS LED (Yellow) begins to flash continuously. Manufacturer: Wi-MM Corp.
