Please read the safety instructions and the operating instructions carefully before use. 4 General safety instructions DANGER Risk of suffocation Improper use of this product can result in suffocation. This is particularly dangerous for children. The following safety information must be observed at all times. Keep packaging materials (plastic bags, rubber bands etc.) away from children. They can cause suffocation. This product contains small parts that could be swallowed by children. Im- proper use of this product can cause an electric shock. An electric shock can cause serious or poten- tially fatal injuries. The following safety information must be observed at all times. Children must only use the device under adult supervision! Only use the device as described in the manual; otherwise, you run the risk of an electric shock. Analysis Report Report No.: 20060849HKG-001 The equipment under test (EUT) is the Rain Gauge (915MHz transmitter) of the weather station operating at 915MHz. The EUT is powered by 4X 1.5V size "AA" batteries. The EUT will transmit RF signal to the corresponding receiver and the receiver will display the weather information on the screen of the receiver. Antenna Type: Internal integral antenna Antenna Gain: 0dBi Range of EIRP radiated field strength: 80.2 to 90.2 dBμV/m at 3m (EIRP range -15 to -5 dBm) Frequency range: 915MHz (single channel) According to the KDB 447498: Based on the Maximum allowed field strength of production tolerance was 90.2 dBμV/m at 3m in frequency 915MHz, thus; It below calculated field strength according to minimum SAR exclusion threshold level as follows: The worst case of SAR Exclusion Threshold Level: = 3.0 * (min. test separation distance, mm) / sqrt(freq. in GHz) = 3.0 * 5 / sqrt (0.915) mW = 15.7 mW According to the KDB 412172 D01: EIRP = [(FS*D) ^2*1000 / 30] Calculated Field Strength for 15.7mW is 107.2dBuV/m @3m Since maximum field strength plus production tolerance < = 107.2dBuV/m @3m and antenna gain is > = 0.0dBi, it is concluded that maximum Conducted Power and Field Strength are well below the SAR Exclusion threshold level, so the EUT is considered to comply with SAR requirement without testing.
