gcare 850 –USER GUIDE A. Thanks for purchasing gcare 850 Thank you for purchasing gcare 850, SOS Mobile Watch powering GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth positioning. Please read this guide completely before starting using the device. Make sure you carefully read all Legal & Safety notes. B. Angelcare terms and conditions Copyright and Software licence Important : When using gcare 850 you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions endorsed by Guidercare Co.,Ltd and other third parties. Under the copyright law, Guidercare Co.,Ltd enjoys and retains all the rights on both hardware and software. The software, interfaces, contents, fonts, documentation and all the data supplied with your gcare 850 watch, as well as those updated or replaced by additional features, software updates are all licensed and not sold by Guidercare. They are to be used only under this Licensing terms. Disclaimer To the extent permitted by applicable law, you hereby acknowledge and expressly accept that the use of gcare 850 software and services is at your own risk, also accepting the risk regarding the quality, performance, accuracy and satisfactory use. Consent to use of data The user accepts that Guidercare, its affiliated companies and its agents, may collect, store, process and use diagnostic, technical and utilization information, in particular information on the gcare 850 device, the portal, system software and applications plus any other peripheral devices in use. This data is gathered periodically to allow Guidercare to prepare and provide updates, technical support and other services related to gcare 850 software and to verify conformity with the terms and conditions of this Licence. Such data is collected anonymously and used in a form and manner that makes it impossible to discover the identity of the person to whom it belongs; this is aimed to improve product and service quality. Liability This device is considered as a communication assistant. In no way whatsoever it has to be used as a replacement of professional medical and healthcare equipments and/or services. The device locates the user only upon emergency request. A constant tracking of the user it-self would be against personal privacy, unless this one (or a legal representative in case of disability) agrees to do so. The identification is only done via product ID. At no time whatsoever the personal privacy is being disclosed. The device only provides communication and assistance channel. The service it-self is provided by third-party entities. The fall detection feature provided with gcare850 and its accuracy cannot be guaranteed by Guidercare. Guidercare cannot be held responsible if the trigger did not work and caused either light, severe conditions or death. Notes - The main use of this device is to locate the user in case of emergency, not placing phone calls. Please do not wear it while charging. - In order to avoid any malfunction or interference, verify with third party devices manufacturers that their equipment is compatible. - The use of the two-way communication affects the battery life significantly, use it fairly for maximum performance. - Replacement of batteries and sim cards must only be done by technicians or trained staffs. - We recommend the device to be charged at least for one hour every two days. Inability to use GPS or phone in case of emergency would be regrettable. - When charging battery, keep it near room temperature. - Never expose batteries to temperature below -10°C or above 45°C. C. Information use and safety Caution There is a risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions provided. The watch must be switched off while in dangerous areas such as on a plane, nearby gas station or hospitals. Interference might create a risk of explosion. Important operating information Check that you have mobile phone coverage and are receiving a GPRS/3G signal from your own telephone carrier. The watch supports three different positioning modes, GPS, GSM/3G/GPRS and Wifi. The watch will not work if out of service area. D. Appearance & Description 1. Touch screen 2. Switch on button 3. Charging Please place the watch inside the cradle and place the back charging pin of the watch over the cradle pins. Once charging this below picture showing battery indicator level charging should show up. If the battery was totally discharged, please wait a few minutes before you can see that charging stating showing on the screen. Once fully charged this indicator will disappear and show a “Charging Complete” indicator.
