PAIRING MODE FIRST TIME PAIRING 1.1 – To connect the earphones to a Bluetooth device for the first time, open the charging case, remove the earphones from the case and the earphones will automatically enter into pairing mode (white indicator light flashes 3 times). 1.2 – Hold the earphones close to each other while pairing. 1.3 – Open Bluetooth settings on your device and search for “Urbanista Austin”. Once connected to your Bluetooth device you will hear “connected” and you can now start using Urbanista Austin for calls and music. RESET EARPHONES If the earphones are not working properly, you can reset them. 2.1 – Delete “Urbanista Austin” from the Bluetooth settings on your device. 2.2 – Make sure the earphones are turned off (press and hold the logo button for 5 seconds to switch them off). 2.3 – Press and hold the logo button for 8 seconds, you will hear a beeping sound and the white indicator light will flash once and then flash 3 times. 2.4 – Close the charging case - the reset has now been suc- cessfully completed and you can now follow the instructions in section 1, “First Time Pairing”, to reconnect the earphones to your device. Pairing procedure is just needed the first time you connect your Urbanista Austin with your device. Afterwards, the earphones will automatically reconnect to your Bluetooth device every time you turn them on. If you wish to use them with another device simply follow the steps again with the desired device. 6 POWER ON - Remove the earphones from the case and the indicator light flashes 3 times. Or press and hold the logo button for 2 seconds. POWER OFF- Place the earphones in the case and they will power off automatically. (If only one of the earphones are placed in the case, the other earphone is connected by itself and can be used separately). You may also press and hold the logo button for 5 seconds to turn them off. (If paired, both earphones will be turned off). VOICE ASSISTANT ON - Press twice on the logo button on the left (L) earphone. ANSWER A CALL - Press once on the logo button on the right (R) or left (L) earphone. END A CALL - Press and hold the logo button on the right (R) or left (L) earphone for 2 seconds AUSTIN MANUAL(ENG) 3. CONTROLS VIA THE LOGO BUTTON 7 REJECT A CALL - Press and hold the logo button on the right (R) or left (L) earphone for 2 seconds. PLAY MUSIC - Press the logo button once on the right (R) or left (L) e a rp h o n e . PAUSE MUSIC - Press twice on the logo button on the right (R) earphone. ADJUST THE VOLUME (+) - Press the logo button once on the right (R) earphone. ADJUST THE VOLUME (-) - Press the logo button once on the left (L) earphone. SKIP A TRACK FORWARD - Press and hold the logo button on the right (R) earphone for 2 seconds. SKIP A TRACK BACKWARD- Press and hold the logo button on the left (L) earphone for 2 seconds. 4. CHARGING LOW BATTERY WARNING: If earphone battery level is low you will hear a voice saying “Battery please charge” once every minute. 8 The earphones will charge automatically when placed in the case. The indicator flashes white while charging. When the white flash is off, the earphones are fully charged. 1-25% Light flashes 1 time 26-50% Light flashes 2 times 51-75% Light flashes 3 times 76-100% Light flashes 4 times CHARGE BAT T E RY CAS E: To charge the case - Plug the type-C cable into an energy source, the battery indicator light will con- tinue flashing until the case is fully charged – then the light will be constantly lit. 5. SILICONE EARBUDS The complimentary silicone earbuds come in different sizes. Choose the size that best suits your ears so that they fit com- fortably in your ears. The silicone tips easily pop off/on. CLEANING YOUR EARBUDS: For cleaning, pop the silicone tip off and soak them in lukewarm water with soap. After soaking, use a cotton swab to give them a better cleaning. Rinse the tips well under water and dry with a cloth. Do not put them back on the earbuds until they are completely dry. MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE The EUT shall have its hopping function enabled. Use the following spectrum analyzer settings: 1. Span: The frequency band of operation. Depending on the number of channels the device supports, it may be necessary to divide the frequency range of operation across multiple spans, to allow the individual channels to be clearly seen. 2. RBW: To identify clearly the individual channels, set the RBW to less than 30% of the channel spacing or the 20 dB bandwidth, whichever is smaller. 3. VBW ≥ RBW. Sweep: Auto. Detector function: Peak. Trace: Max hold. 4. Allow the trace to stabilize. 11.2. TEST SETUP (BLOCK DIAGRAM OF CONFIGURATION) Same as described in section 8.2 11.3. TIME OF OCCUPANCY (DWELL TIME) 12.1. MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE The EUT shall have its hopping function enabled. Use the following spectrum analyzer settings: 1. Span: Zero span, centered on a hopping channel. 2. RBW shall be≤channel spacing and where possible RBW should be set >> 1 / T, where T is the expected dwell time per channel. 3. Sweep: As necessary to capture the entire dwell time per hopping channel; where possible use a video trigger and trigger delay so that the transmitted signal starts a little to the right of the start of the plot. The trigger level might need slight adjustment to prevent triggering when the system hops on an adjacent channel; a second plot might be needed with a longer sweep time to show two successive hops on a channel. 4. Detector function: Peak. Trace: Max hold. 5. Use the marker-delta function to determine the transmit time per hop. 6. Repeat the measurement using a longer sweep time to determine the number of hops over the period specified in the requirements. The sweep time shall be equal to, or less than, the period specified in the requirements. Determine the number of hops over the sweep time and calculate the total number of hops in the period specified in the requirements, using the following equation: (Number of hops in the period specified in the requirements) = (number of hops on spectrum analyzer) × (period specified in the requirements / analyzer sweep time) 7. The average time of occupancy is calculated from the transmit time per hop multiplied by the number of hops in the period specified in the requirements. 12.2.
