Sett ing Up a Wi-Fi Connect ion Step1:Power on t he MiFi. Step2:Set up Wi-Fi connection o r wired connection. Ste p3:Conn ect to internet. I. Turning on MiFi Press βPower butto nβ and hol d for a while till th e screen i s lit, and Wi-F i is on. II. Setting up Wi-F i connect ion or wired connection 1.Set up Wi-F i conn ection or wired connection as blow. 2.Make sure t he 4G Mi Fi βs Wi-F i functi on i s on. 3.Select Start>ControlPanel>Network Conne cti ons> Wire less Network Conn ection 4.Click βConnect toβ to show a list of availabl e Wi-Fi n etworks . 5.Select th e wireless network connection wi th th e 4G Mi Fi 's SSID and clickβConnectβ. If th e sec uri ty mechanism is appli ed, you need to enter the correct network ke y. The SSID an d network key a re printed o n t he Mi Fi βs labe l. Note: How to c hang e the SSID & Password 1.Lo g i n to http://192.168.1. 1 or http :/ /192.168 .0.1 (refer to t he devi ce lab el) an d ente r t he management pag e. 2.Select Wire less>WLAN basic settings, then yo u wi ll see βSSIDβ and β Wi-F i Password β, Ensure you delete the old name a nd pa ssword a nd enter the new name and new pa ssword as your required. 3.Click βOKβ button, t hen l og out. 4.Wait for computer o r l aptop screen to disp lay th e modifi ed Wi-F i i con. Indi cates t hat t he SSID & pa ssword of the wi reless network has been modifi ed successfully. III. Connect ing to th e inte rnet If the Wi-F i function i s turned on, your device sh ould conn ect to the Interne t auto mati ca lly . IV. Logging into th e Dev ice Management websi te 1. Make sure t he end-user device is connected to theMi Fi . 2. Open t he browser, ente r http ://192.1 68.1.1or http :/ /192.168 .0.1 (refer to t he devi ce label)in th e address box. 3.Ente r t he user nameand password, a nd click βl oginβ. The administrator has t he ri gh t t o ch ec k and modi fy confi gu ration p ermission . Note: The default usernameand password are admin. Charging your MiFi 1s t method: Charging by power adapte r 1.Use compati bl e p ower adapter (5v, 2A). 2.Power adap ter is a selective accessory. 2ndmethod:Charging by connecti ng to computer or laptop. Please use t he p roper cable to con nect th e MiFi to the computeror l ap top. Note:If the MiFihas nβt been used for a long ti me, pl ea se charge the battery be fore usi ng. Restore Factory Setti ngs If you are un certai n o f which Wi-F i settings you have confi gured or changed, you can restore the fa ctory defaults that come with the MiFito reconfi gure the device Wi-F i setting. 1.Lo g i nto Device Manage ment Web site to restore to fa ctory de fa ult setti ngs. 2.Press and hol d βResetβ butt on fo r 8se conds, an d the MiFi w ill b e acti vated again and restore d to factory settings. Note: Reset button will d el ete all th e d eviceβs user-de fi ned Wi-Fi sett ings and restore Admi n setting and Wi-F i Setting to factory defa ults. Trouble Shooting: If you are havi ng troubl e with t he MiFi , h er e are a fe w things you can d o to get it to fu ncti on properly: 1.
