Overview The Essence Halo Emergency Pendant Plus (EPPH) is an innovative, wearable, multi-function emergency device for signaling emergency situations. The pendant is meant to always be with the resident. The EPPH can be worn around the neck or on the wrist. A lanyard or wristband is provided. If the pendant's button is pressed, the pendant sends an emergency message via a radio signal to the control panel, which, in turn, passes the message to the monitoring station. Pendant features:  Fully water resistant (IP67)  Wireless connectivity with the control panel that can reach over 150 m (500 ft.) in the open air  Battery life of up to two years  Lightweight  LED indicator Pairing the Pendant 4 Care@Home™ Halo Emergency Pendant Plus User Guide 2. Pairing the Pendant You need to pair the pendant with the control panel before the pendant can be used. To pair a pendant: 1. Press and hold the PAIRING button on the control panel until you hear the double beep. 2. Press and hold pendant button for five seconds. 3. Ensure that the pairing process is successful. The process can have the following results: Control Panel Behavior Meaning EMERGENCY button ring blinks blue. Pairing is successful Control panel beeps and EMERGENCY button ring lights up red for two seconds. Pairing is unsuccessful. Try again. Control panel makes a low pitch beep and EMERGENCY button ring lights up blue as EMERGENCY button lights up red. This pendant has already been paired with this control panel. Control panel beeps and the EMERGENCY button ring lights up red Control panel memory is full. No additional devices can be paired. PAIRING Button Operating the Pendant Care@Home™ Halo Emergency Pendant Plus User Guide 5 3. Operating the Pendant The resident operates the pendant by pressing the button to get help. 3.1. Notifications When the resident presses the pendant button, the pendant sends notifications to the control panel. In addition, depending on how the control panel is configured, the pendant periodically sends information to the control panel, including: the pendant battery charge percentage 3.2. LED Indications The pendant LED lights up as shown in the following table: LED Situation Blinks red for 8 seconds. Pendant button pressed. Lights green Battery was just replaced. 3.3. Supervision The pendant is a supervised device. The pendant periodically transmits its status to the control panel. The frequency of the reporting periods can be configured. If after a predefined time the control panel does not receive a status message, the control panel sends a Supervision lost message to the monitoring station.
