Sentek IoT Probe Quick Start Guide INTRODUCTION What’s in the box? • Sentek IoT Probe • Sentek Drill & Drop Bluetooth Probe What you Need to Get Started • Access Point • Android Mobile Device with Bluetooth Capability • Google Play Store Account Quick Start • Open Google Play Store on the Android Mobile device • Type Sentek Connect on the search bar • Install the Sentek Connect App on the Android Mobile device • Follow the steps to set up your phone and the Bluetooth Drill & Drop probe Minimum requirements • Mobile device must be running Android version 4.3 or later • Requires Bluetooth 4 capability SETUP ACCESS POINT 1. Open Google Play Store and type nRF Device Manager in the search bar. Install the Device Manager App on your Android Mobile Device. 2. Open the App and Grant Bluetooth Permissions. Select Allow when the App prompts to connect to nearby devices 3. Click on the symbol located on the right hand side upper corner of the screen and ensure the only devices advertising SMP UUID option is unticked. 4. Connect to the Sentek IoT Probe from the list by clicking on the name. 5. Click on the Shell command option located at the bottom right hand side of the screen. In the Shell command box, send the following commands to set your access point: set set wifi/ap_name “name” set set wifi/ap_key “key” Note: In place of “name” – type your access point name In place of “key” – type your access point key. SETUP – Sentek Connect App 1. After successful installation of the Sentek Connect App, complete the Introduction Wizard by following the instructions provided on the App. 2. On the Scan screen of the App, WiFi Power can be observed by the cloud icon on the App. 3. Connect to the probe can be seen in the App in the Sim Status Field. When the Connection is made, the status will change from Not Registered to Registered. FCC Compliance Statement This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules.
